A sick paedophile rapist from Birmingham has been jailed for a sting of sex offences involving girls as young as six.

Taxi driver, Peter King, who had a flat in Highgate, Birmingham, lured and groomed three girls between the ages of six and 15 during the 1990s and early 2000s.

He would take the girls on swimming trips, buying them clothing and food and then taking them back to his flat.

King, now 72, used his black cab to ferry around the girls and sometimes their friends as well.

He would give them pocket money and gifts and take then on day trips and holidays.

One girl he abused, who was 15 at the time, became pregnant by King before having a termination.

She bravely revealed this information years later to help West Midlands Police ’s Public Protection Unit (PPU) prosecute him for his ‘appalling’ actions.

Following the trial, which concluded at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday, October 31, King, of Malin Close, Southampton, was convicted of 15 sex offences, including multiple incidents if rape and indecent assault.

He was remanded into custody ahead of sentencing on Monday, January 12.

Detective Investigating Officer Liz Weston, from the PPU, said: “This has been a long and complex investigation into the abuse of young girls who were groomed by King.

"He preyed upon them when they were at their most vulnerable.

"He took advantage of their own personal circumstances and gave them pocket money, bought them gifts, clothing and food and took them on day trips and holidays.

"He tried to portray that he was a good man who cared for them, but the jury saw through those lies.”

DI Weston continued: "I’m pleased that the women he abused as children all those years ago have finally received the justice they so deserve.

"I commend their bravery in being able to speak out and share their stories and

"I would ask anyone who has encountered similar experiences, or any kind of abuse, historically or recently, to speak to the police.

"We are here to create a safe space for you and we will listen.”

Thats a crass comment !

The bloke is clearly an evil SOB and deserves everything coming to him.

The fact is that a great many of the culptrits of this type of crime are of a particular ethnic background which is a fact people should be aware of and it's imperitive that such communities should equally condemn such behaviour. That isn't political extremism thats society reacting to abhorrent human behaviour !

For what it's worth, I think you both have a point - the, er, further-right-than-me seem to see absolutely every criminal and anti-social act through a racial prism, and the implication seems to be that we'd be living in some sort of happy clappy crime-free nirvana if only the country was demographically the same as it was back in the 1950s, say.

As I said before, imagine thinking there's any parallel between that heinous black-on-white murder in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Lochee axe girl thing:

If the person filming the Lochee incident hadn't been speaking with a foreign accent then barely anyone outside Dundee would have noticed, never mind the global hoohah about it all.

By the same token, if the perp filming the Dundee taxi incident last week had been speaking with a foreign accident, can you imagine the reaction? But, as it is, hardly anyone outside the trade and/or Dundee itself will know about it, because few outside those spheres are really interested.

And although we'll probably never know the truth, I suspect the Lochee axe girl is just the younger, female equivalent of the taxis perps last week, although she's simply performative at this stage, and hopefully won't end up going the full monty when she's a bit older. But not the imminent victim of a marauding rape gang, as portrayed by Robinson, Elon Musk et al.

On the other hand, and consistent with what Edders said, you can't ignore the racial and religious dimension to the likes of the rape gangs. Nor can you ignore the danger posed by the small boats, undocumented 'fighting age males' etc. I mean, and with reference to the trade, none of them would get a taxi badge, and none of them are likely to be able to get a badge for years and years (I'd guess). Which in itself demonstrates their substantially higher risk to wider society

What I can say is that the white rapist will get the same treatment in prison, from right-wing thugs, as a black/brown rapist.

As has recently been the case.

I suspect that the pontypridd prophet was probaly killed over drugs or other prison related matters rather than for what he did. It had the ring of gang related about it but I'm sure many are pleased he's dead. Now if only someone could do warboys
