I'd kind of forgotten about this. And still don't like the way it's framed.

And six paragraphs in a row beginning with the word 'the'. And three in a row beginning with 'the company' :-o

But, again, if they're trying to appeal to the usual Uber demographic, I don't think Shaun Williamson and union jacks are the best way to go about it :?

A long-established taxi company serving Dorset has launched a nationwide service.

PRC Streamline Taxis, which has roots stretching back to the 1950s, covers Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne and surrounding areas.

The launch of its national taxi network on its app means the firm can now offer a nationwide service.

The company, using iCabbi technology, can potentially link thousands of drivers across the country.

The company says the move extends its convenience, allowing passengers to use the same app wherever they go.

The company said the coverage offered is better than the big global players which tend to cluster around large urban areas.

The new national taxi network has the potential to reach 60,000 licensed drivers from the smallest towns and villages to the largest cities.

The PRC Streamline app can be used in London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Inverness, providing information on available cars all over mainland UK.

Nicky Smith, director of PRC Streamline Taxis, said: "When you book a cab with a local company like PRC Streamline Taxis, the money remains in the local community.

"As licensed and regulated operators, we are the safest, most reliable option.

"The new roaming feature on our app means that even when our passengers are out of town, they can still support us and other local taxi and private hire fleets like us all over the UK."

The firm has also announced plans to extend its reach to Spain, Belgium, and Sweden in the coming weeks, with more European destinations to be added soon.

PRC Streamline Taxis is a member of the Bournemouth Town Centre BID and both Bournemouth and Dorset Chambers of Commerce.

The company has supported many local businesses in the BCP area through advertising and sponsorship, including Lighthouse Poole, AFC Bournemouth, Poole Marina, Wimborne Festival, Bournemouth One Radio and Bourne Free Pride.

Ms Smith added: "Local taxi and private hire companies like PRC Streamline have earned the moniker ‘the fourth emergency service’ due to the countless occasions when they have stepped in to support the local community during crises and exceptional circumstances."

Yes. Total PR.

Trying to suggest they have gone multinational, so to speak, when all they have done is sign up to an app that has users all over the country.
