Well this is a bit odd. Not only is it the driver who's issuing the threats and racial abuse (allegedly), but he's, er, not white

And his passenger shouting racial abuse as well

But shouldn't be difficult to pick this guy up, assuming he's a local driver...

A taxi driver and his passenger are wanted for allegedly shouting threats and racist abuse at a woman in Sheffield.

Police were called over a reported hate crime at 7.15pm on January 18 when a woman was walking on Matilda Street in the city centre.

It was there a taxi driver reportedly made threats to the woman, while a passenger in the cab also shouted racist abuse at her.

South Yorkshire Police has now released a CCTV image of a man officers want to speak to.

Do you recognise this man?

Anyone with information is asked to contact SYP by calling 101, quoting incident number 498 of January 18, 2026.

If the above is true, you have to wonder about the taxi/PH driver's mentality.

When you are working as a taxi/PH driver, there is no hiding place.

believe me I have seen muslim drivers come out with some seriously blue language and often against people of the same religion but who earn their living working for the food delivery companies !

the ability to become abusive is a human trait not limited to colour race or creed.
