Hi fellas!
I was wondering, after how long you register as self-employee, when you start for the very first time?
Some ppl said to me that you don't need to do it for the first six months; others for the first year (yeah I wish).
So, as I'm a NOOB about self-employment, I'm getting worried not to listen the wrong ppl.
Thanks in advance for the replies :D

you should do it on day one, i suggest you give them a call first thing in the morning.

they 'allow' you up to 3 months (i think) to register, but any more and they'll start getting shirty when they find out.

Thanks for the reply.
So what you are saying is that I must pay taxes from day one!
Lukily I'm keeping record of my earning from day one.
I can believe that even my boss told me to registrer after 6 months!!
What the hell, I consider myself an honest person, so I'm rader concerned about the fact that I didn't register in the first month.
Should I tell them that I started a month ago; or that would be sees as dodgy?
regards. :? :?:

If you tell the truth to the taxman then many in the trade will regard this as dodgy, if that's what you mean

You have 3 months from the day self employment commenced to register, if you do not then it is £100 fine.
