A non taxi driver being issued with a free plate.
Come on Mr Thomson, you can't have it both ways.
Ross

Why don’t you post on FB Ross? Too many pricks that don’t understand the argument, well here’s the bad news, we are right and you are wrong. Who says so, Sheriff Bowen, that’s who, dickhead, go feck yourself.

Still your usual articulate self, I see, Garry?
I note that you still fail to answer the questions raised though. Give us all a laugh and justify your support for

1. A non taxi driver being issued with a free plate.

2. The profiteering from a free plate.

when both of these issues are contrary to the ideology you normally espouse.

And while you're at it, tell us how a council cockup resulting in at most 5 new licences translates into victory and derestriction?

And it would be better still, if you could answer the questions yourself without your wee dug Ali barking for you and without insult (or is that too much to ask?)!!!

regards

Alan G

As for JD's little jibe, it merely shows his ignorance. I use one nick on TDO and I use the same one on Fasties in addition to the Admin (like dusty does on here, allegedly)
This is just another of his wildly inaccurate observations.

Once again Alan you have me all wrong. I don’t care who gets a plate or for how much. I only care about whomever wants a plate getting what they want regardless what they want to do with it? I don’t stand in judgement over others or their weaknesses as long as they don’t try and shaft me in the process.

I’ve got news of you Alan and its all bad, people have too pay it’s just the way it is. If it wasn’t me it would be someone else. Look around, the world is changing, no more restrictive practice and no more little men thinking they are big men.

Haven’t you worked it out yet? Don’t tell me you really think I give a sh** about licence plates. After all this time and everything written on forums you still haven’t worked out what it is I am after.

There in the question lies the answer. Here’s a clue, I have no ideology unless this in itself is and ideology.

You don’t really think I will allow the council to stop at 5 licence plates do you. BTW you need to do your math it is more than 5.

Whatever happens, 1-10,000 wouldn’t make any difference to me.

Maybe Alan G is Ross? lol Maybe Alan G is also Kelly? It gets more confusing day by day? He is certainly disillusioned. lol

they are all from the same gene pool.
Kind off a hive mind or think tank, but without any of the benefits that this would normally bring.

I can understand that lol. Mindless morons all following their leader over a steep cliff like an army of lemmings, or should that be lemons? Whatever it is, I think they got the message that the law comes before ignorant councillors.

Do your really think this is something they can grasp?

You obviously have more faith in the average moron than I do.

Actually I was being kind, I remember when this Fastblacks motley crew were celebrating the fact that Jim Taylor had lost his track. That shows the true colour of their Tartan. One word describes the lot of them, "contemptible" and the reason I say "contemptible" is because not one of the more reasoned posters on that site came to the defence of a man who had just lost his track.

They harp on about protecting their interests but when it comes down to a fellow Cabby they are happy to see him on hard times. That is why I do what I do because its azzholes like this that need to be taught a lesson and make no mistake a lesson they will surely get.

Now this I can appreciate. Is this like saying they will have to suffer?

Oh what a shame all that pain and me not there to enjoy it.

Life is so cruel.

One thing that stands out about this decision and it should be noted that the Sheriff Principle stated it was the most important factor surrounding this appeal. Was the fact that CEC had not considered these applications in accordance with the law of section 3.1.

It doesn't matter one iota what CEC use in future appeals as an excuse for not processing these applications, they will fall on the fact they did not give due consideration to any of the applications. The sheriff Principal cannot go back on his judgment in any future cases that involves the same circumstances as non-compliance with section 3.1. CEC know this and they will be foolish to take it any further. The only reason they might take it further is because of their deep pockets. Will they win, no they won't and what's more a precedent will be set which I am sure CEC will not want. Once the precedent has been set they will no longer be able to sit on their backsides and do nothing for five and a half months.

We shall see in the next few days if they have something between their ears other than fresh air?

Regards

JD

What the feck are you talking about?

Have a look around. The only ones profiteering are the ones ignoring the insurgence of the Ph with the exception to licensed qualified taxi drivers being denied a plate. Forty grand, and for what exactly? £300 for a seven night rental? The illusion of ownership? You have got to be having a laugh. Show me the increase in your profits, your control over your tariffs or vehicle choice, maybe even you running costs, not forgetting the Ph running amuck.

What the feck is it you don’t understand? Is this a driver’s joke that owners don’t get? The game is fecked. Pay who how much? I wouldn’t [edited by admin] on you if you were on fire.

I'll take my chances!!

Go kiss the council on the arse for your very existence you piece of sh**

Did I catch you on a bad night ? or are you getting your replies mixed up?

I ask something simple, and you go on about something else. and not forgetting the insults.

Youre having a laugh !
Skull,s Judgements over others in the past, all taxi driver's are dog sh*t on his shoes.
All taxi driver's are mental defectives.

Are all taxi driver's trying to shaft you ?

On my first post on Tdo, you pass judgement on me for asking a simple question about your change in ideology.

You seem an amiable fellow Ross will you answer my simple question which was,

"do you agree with the Sheriff Principles decision that Edinburgh Council broke the law by not carrying out their statutory duty as laid down in section 3.1".

Given that you've denied having a pseudonym in the past, this just proves you lied then Mr G.

Profiteering from a free plate? You quibble about this when it's been going on since incorporation was brought in. Your pal Greensnot has built a business by profiteering from the sale of "free" plates. And, didn't you sell you're stake in a free plate, taking a profit in the process. As have a few of your chums, like the hibby from Restalrig Drive (What pseudonym is he using now?)

Non taxi driver owning a plate? What's this about? I know of at least one multi owner who's never driven a taxi for hire in his life?

Seems like you're still the master of irrelevance Mr G.

While we're at it. Please tell Paul Kerr that I'm not perturbed at his calling me a liar. Also that I remember the conversation in the wee sma' hours on the corner of Bryson/Tay when we discussed the fact that he didn't park his taxi in Dalry, preferring "his driver's" because it would be safer. Wheether he told me he owned the taxi is irrelevant. He certainly implied that he did. He may not be a liar, just a pathetic individual who can't have an honest conversation. While I was clearly talking about his "ownership", he was obviously doing his usual "Walter Mitty". The guy needs to get a grip on reality.

Secondly, you can tell JG that I had the biggest guffaw when I read that I started CABforce out OK but failed because I failed to listen to members. What a joke. Remind him of the conversation we had in his taxi, in the Lawnmarket where I asked him to come on board and use the experience he gained with Elta to work for CABforce. Hardly the action of someone not prepared to listen.

He refused citing the fact that he was too unpopular in the trade, he'd stepped on too many toes and also his missus wouldn't allow him to become involved again. He wants to restart ELTA? With Bob Dewar? Given what the trade thinks of these two, Skull and I should be founder members.

Finally, the sewing bee site doon the net is an embarrassment. There hasn't been a single meaningful debate since you censored it by booting Skull and I off it. But the debate is happening elsewhere. It's just fasties watchers who are not part of it.

Fear!

My responses to jasbar:

I use "Alan G" and Admin so where was the lie?

I am not quibbling about it. I asked Garry to reconcile his actions with his words.

Non taxi driver owning a plate? What's this about? I know of at least one multi owner who's never driven a taxi for hire in his life?
Where did I say I had a problem with that? Doh!

Seems like you're still the master of irrelevance Mr G.
You're definitely showing signs of senility here.

While we're at it. Please tell Paul Kerr that I'm not perturbed at his calling me a liar. Some things never change. You're still upset at being rejected and shown up as irrelevant by the Edinburgh taxi trade and having to come here for sympathy.

Finally, the sewing bee site doon the net is an embarrassment. There hasn't been a single meaningful debate since you censored it by booting Skull and I off it. But the debate is happening elsewhere. It's just fasties watchers who are not part of it.
As long as you remember, neither you nor Garry were booted off for your alternate views; you were booted off for lies, insults and general childlike behaviour. Perhaps one day you will mature and realise what debate is. At the moment you are certainly incapable of adult debate but more at home here where puerility seem to be the order of the day.
