This is going to get everybody going!!!!. I have been a controller for about 5 years and before that I was a driver for 10 years(I still drive now). Let me put the record straight- all controllers are crooked!!!!.

I look after the drivers who look after me, and by that I mean, they don't keep asking "where is it/can't find it/not doing that etc".

Why should sh*t drivers get good work, in the bad old day's of voice you could hear the stupid drivers winding the controller up!!.

A tip for all you driver's, come in, do your work and don't drive the controller mad. Oh and before you say anything, drivers do not buy me food and cups of tea all noght, I pay for it myself!!!!

thank god a muppet has highlighted this....[edited by admin] [edited by admin]!

before we were computerised one driver said to me he was leaving on a friday so i thought fair enough, he was a master **** but i didnt care he was paying rent so everything was fair...

i tell my operators that if they recieve a gift, they have to declare it, and if i see ONE job over rided on the main then i will sack them without batting an eyelid.

**** or no ****, they pay equal so should get equal whip.

i always check over rided jobs and record the GPS movements so i can see if they over ride was a good decision or a feed!

I agree, and the firm I work with would boot any iffy operator's off.

Thank the lord they don't boot iffy drivers off, or I would be pot-less.

Bet Rambo's business has much better customer service than some other posters on this thread.

Drivers are like horses, and there are horses for courses.

If I send my best customer a muppet new boy who cocks up the job two or three times then I will find myself with no best customer, my best drivers will leave for where the best customer has gone and I will be left with a muppet and crap customers.

The four guys on my circuit who take the most money are the ones who say the least to the controller.

The moany old t***, whinging about this job and that job, spends as much time moaning to whoever else will listen. Stop moaning, and pull your fecking finger out is what he gets told.

Some on here think they have a god given right to expect punters to keep coming back.

I also hate these people in the control rooms who feed there friend,s with good jobs. It happens a lot in my system certain people control at night then come out on the road in the morning maybe do a few jobs that dont come through the system. Or hand over bits of paper with jobs on it to there friends. No one says a thing to management or the other controllers in case they dont get jobs period. Its a case of sorry computer froze will try and get you another job through. I know we all moan at times but i work bloody long hours to feed my family, and its a case of you dont like it leave there is a big waiting list. The problem here is nobody will say anything as there not working legitimate ,so thats my rant anyway so you can make your own mind up.

hey bigyin, that why i let even the moody gits have an equal whip, i think its plain wrong is feeding.

i had one driver from another city who didnt know i owned my own base say "i helped this controller with her sons website now whenever im working she says "stay where you are theres a job coming through"...

what a fat b i c h, i know the operator personally as i know the guy who own the firm. i could believe it but i never said anything to him because he would tae it as meddling and its better to lose a driver than a operator.

I knew it would get everyone going!!. I challange any driver to do a friday night on the contrlolls, it would be an eye opener for them. What is feeding? I say again, why should I help drivers who drive me mad, in an ideal world everybody should be treated the same, but, not all drivers are equal. I have drivers who I can't stand on a personal level, but, as drivers they are superb. If I send a muppet to an account customer and the driver mucks up the job, we lose the account and all the other drivers lose money.

I know contrllers who feed thier mates, and it is wrong, everybody pay's the same reny so should be treated the same, but, not every driver is as good as the next one.

As a controller I have to deal with the customers driving me mad because drivers are cocking up job's. And yes, I do make mistake's when i'm controlling, but, and this is the most important part, I don't make the same mistake twice!!

I say again, I do the same work as drivers when i'm on the road, and I don't get any problem's, so either i'm the luckiest driver on the road or i'm doing the right.

I wish we could get rid of the, them and us attitude, and all work together.

You shouldn't be in the job then.

That isn't feeding, that is good practice. But the "muppet" drivers pay the same as your "good" drivers. All you are there for is to provide all your drivers with the work they have paid for. Period.

not every driver is as good as the next one.

What does that have to do with what quality of work an individual is given? Who made you God?

Yes, that's part of your job. Your point?

Bet you a tenner you do.

Of course, there is also the a third option: you're a bullshitter?

Right. Cold day in hell/Pigs might fly/When hell freezes over........(delete as applicable)

After thirteen years as company owner, operator and driver I can justifiably offer the opinion that after a short spell sitting behind a microphone, once the ropes are learnt, every operator develops this " I am your better, scumbags" attitude toward the drivers s/he controls. This is why they feel they have this right to allocate work as they see fit, they use the lowest common denominator for the people that pay their wages.

Here's one for you, Rambo. When you swerve a regular past a "muppet" driver because you worry they may lose that customer, do you tell the driver in question what you've done and why? Going by your attitude to your drivers, I would think that's the least you'd do. Perhaps make a note of said job and compensate them later on in the shift when an "easier" job comes in? Your response will be interesting. it will also tell me whether I've just wasted the last fifteen minutes of my life replying to your post.

the only reason you are worried that you might loose the account is that you wont get your feeding fee more like. if you think drivers are muppets you realy need to get a life i wonder if they think you are a muppet as well :?: :?: i bet they do

To chipper, when i'm on the road I don't get fed, the contoller will run me for any job because he knows that I will find the job and do it with no fuss. As for calling me scum, I say this, at least I'm being honest, I tell the bad drivers why they don't earn as much as others. I wish I could take on drivers and train them, but, as we all know, the owners are only interested in the rent money. Ask any controller why they have jacked in controlling and they will all tell you the same thing, because of the drivers.

To matt, no one made me god, I can only give an opnion based on my experience. As for giving a muppet an easier job later to help make up his money, why should I?. It's the same muppets who are in the betting shop all day!!!. Also matt, nobody doe's a job they like, I contoll because it pay's the bill's. If you say all drivers are equal and should be treated the same, then doe's this apply to criminal's? should they have the same right's as a law abiding citizen.

If I have offended anyone i'm sorry, I say again, i'm only being honest.
