To Matt, your right I don't own the company, but I do care about it, if I take a could'nt care less attitude to the company it affects everybody's earnings. Saying that I don't own the company and therefor I should'nt worry about it is a very union/working class attitude. I ask you matt, if you were a controller and you had a driver who was nearest to the job but you knew the driver would have trouble finding it, which in turn would mean the customer would be on the phone asking where there car is, would you send that driver? IT can be hard understanding my attitude if your not a controller.
well rambo if you have drivers who are that bad get rid of them we all can at times find it hard to find a job it happens to every one. but then again you have things called maps and now a days GPS and Dare i say it as a controllar you should be able to guide your drivers to the job if the are having difficulty.
as for you attitude well yes it is hard to understand

Matt if your mate was a doorman at the local nightclub and he let you jump the queue, that would be wrong as everybody else is waiting to get in, but I bet you would still jump the queue, it's human nature..
your not even in the same ball park with this one. your mate does not pay your bills (but then again yours do

) dont you think the rest of the que would say sonthing just like your drivers would

No I am not a social worker, but the drivers who are in the betting shop all day are also the one's giving me a sob story about how they have bill's to pay and want me to help them out.

If a driver has a runner or has time off because his car has broken down then I will help them out, but as the saying goe's "god helps those who help themselve's".
well i kind of agree with you on the runner one but if your car is off the road for a period of time why not get another ride or use some of that cash you have set aside.

The reason the job is on it's arse is because guvnor's don't care who they take on, and drivers don't care about customer service.
sorry to say but the company you work for must be CRAP

I got an account last year for my company, night work, £50-60 jobs all night, and guess what?, we lost it, you know why? because the drivers would not keep thier cars clean..
the company i work for has a good reputation for having clean cars and smart drivers and the quick pick up time. now if your drivers cant keep there cars clean log them of for the night i think you will soon find that things change.
my car is washed and cleaned every day i get a kick when passangers say what a nice car and how quick i was there to pick them up as it show that iam doing my job and you will get repeat buisness and you get good tips as well.
i have passangers who ask for me when they phone up to book there cab
