hey guys im sorry for the "hate" for hacks.

Yes hate is a tad over the top.

From my experience most taxi drivers are as good as gold, it's just their so-called leaders that let them down.

I thought only hac's could pick up off a rank, how would it work if PH got the contract, there would have to be some sort of phone there so it was pre booked.

The way it has happened in Watford is the cars are parked up on the 'rank', but the drivers are in the office.

The way that has been interpreted is therefore the drivers can't be done for plying as they are having a cup of tea and watching Trisha, and the cars can't be done because they are made of metal and can't plead in court. :-$

the rank is in the car park, doesnt the company own the car park? therefore they could ask for the rank to be removed?

I don't think the rank is the issue, the issue the law folk look at is what Mr Average on the street thinks.

If he thinks that your PH's parked up on the 'rank' are taxis then that could be viewed as illegal plying. If he doesn't then it doesn't.

Which is why the lads at Watford don't sit in their motors.

But on a taxi rank surely?

The crux of the Watford scenario is that it's private property.

But that's for a traffic naughty, not an illegal plying one.

we have come to a solution as to regards to how we will operate, we are going to control the Hacs and have a phone in there when the pick up point is empty.

plus the rent for the Hacs will be a higher than PH, probably near enough 100 a week

im just peeved that i had to deal with the Hacs but hey business is business.
