It may be difficult to get much feed back on this subject because not only is IVR relativly new, the costs involved put it out of reach of all but the largest companies. We have a four channel IVR unit in development at the moment so I can give some info but as it's only on our internal phone system, I can't give any genuine customer feedback.

What sort of prices are we talking about Bill?

I would have thought the system is not much more different than all the options we have when we ring the gas/elect/council etc.

Press 1 for double the amount you thought of.
Press 2 for a whole lot more than you ever imagined.
Press 3 for you have to be ******* kidding!

Honest answer is I don't what others charge but everything we've come across during development has been somewhere between pressing 2 or 3. I've spoken with one taxi user who I think must have pressed 4  but at the end of the day he reckons it will be all worth it.

Ok here goes for the ppl who are interested in the price of IVR its abt 45k to have it fitted for a 4 line IVR & if its a 8 line ivr u pay 75k then u pay abt 50 pounds a line a month for it so if u have say 4 line ivr u pay 200 pounds a month & 8 line ivr costs u 400 pounds a month on top of wot u av paid to have it fitted so a 4 line ivr is like having 4 members of staff i knw it sounds expensive but i think in the long run it wud pay off

[edited by admin]. I have 12 years of Auriga pricing experience, but even with that those figures took the wind out of my sail.
