Had my new Octavia for about 6 weeks now, and the cars going fine. But.....

......when i start it up and pull away in 1st then move up to 2nd theres a little clicking noise just as I go into 2nd gear! Not loud but you can hear it quite easily if you now what i mean.

Carry on driving and everything is great, stop at a junction go into 1st then 2nd NO NOISE but when I stop the engine and park up, be it for 1 minute or the usual 60 !! Start the engine and pull away I hear the [edited by admin] noise again !!!

Skoda had it allday yesterday and they said they couldnt hear it (they could when i booked it in a few weeks ago though) they checked everything and they said nothing to worry about!!

Drove away from showroom and the noise was still fckin there !
Now the noise dont bother me IF i know its not messing anything up inside the gearbox or siht like that !!

Anyone heard of anything similar ??????

Cheers fellas !

not sure what it is but octavia and gearbox is not a good combo.
i think you should take it back or get one of the fitters to go on a run with you.
