It was reported tonight in the Edinburgh evening news that the council has jumped the gun by changing all the meters 2 days early, and due to an objection the drivers have to deduct 7% off the price shown on the meter, and any driver who charges the full fair can be charged
I wish I had a link it was good reading and just shows how thick the council are up there

Council Chiefs warn cabby's they could be charge with a criminal offence because of their Cock-up.

The way I see it, their cock-up, their responsibility, their problem. If the punters want a refund then direct them to the fu** witts up at the council.

i did get the calculator but and b4 i could work out the 7% off they had paid the fare and jumped out.

CEC ask us to follow the rules to the letter but dont follow them there selfs as they dont need to after all they are the mighty CEC who can do no wrong.
mind you it makes a change that its not CEC greed thats caused this problem just there Stupidity and just some twit whos greed got the better of him or is he after cllr andersons job.
