You just don't give up, boy. £40k? you are about the only saddo that keeps bringing it up. Nobody else in Edinburgh cares or even bothers about plate values.

If I was in Mr Skull's shoes I would bang on forever about plate values, not just to p*** the likes of you off, but because in time the people that matter will start asking why a £700 plate issued by the council is worth £40,000 the next day. 8-[

If they're not already.

unless of course you are bying or selling one
or do you subscribe to the captain theory of them all being mugs, both byer and seller ?
or the poor driver sold on to pay for it.
or the public who are denied access, becouse of restriction.

As for a cartel, it just doesn't exist.

prove it :?:

As you well know the primary aim of quantity control is to balance the demand for taxis with the need for operators and drivers to earn sufficient to maintain the required standard of vehicle and service, AND make a living. As far as Edinburgh goes, even Taylor (in another life) acknowledged that standards (like vehicle age and condition) would drop in an unrestricted market.

sounds good on paper
prove it :?:

Why do you continue the pretence? All you want is revenge by destroying the whole taxi trade in Edinburgh. Deny that, if you dare.

all you dereg's sound the same to me, you certainly all blaw the same pish, apart from one who is obviosly a council employee (the way he write gives it away)
god knows the guys sent me enough letters before with the council logo on them

Unless, of course, these values are in danger of disappearing.

Or if the plate is being sold.

No, anyone can have a plate in Edinburgh and plates aren't worth £40k at all. :^o

Yes, making drivers pay inflated rentals really helps them make a living.

Quite right - you could end up with a fleet like Blackpool.

And with plates worth £45k. #-o

Perhaps you should take a leaf out of Kilmarnock's book - they even admit to it there:

I've not been well, but now I'm back - there that'll please my fans, and fans of the smilies (is the collective noun for that then a bunch of fannies)

anyway, Slapheid, YOU are the only one who's going on about the 40 grand plate values, I'm not defending them, but where did you get the figure from? Facts, figures, SOURCES? Whilst I'm asking questions - where's your PHC and where's auld Ali T's plate :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

The only reason Slapheid is angry about 40 grand plate values is cos he sold his last one for only 28 grand - Deal Or No Deal? - you dealt one deal too early bic-heid - another example of Garry gets it wrong again

It’s at times like this when you really wonder how inured these monkeys are . Absolutely nothing left to work with. The same habitual response almost like a nervous tic they just can’t stop themselves. ](*,) No matter what they just jump to defend the system regardless of any contradictory evidence.

Do you think they ever had the ability to question or think :?:

Many of us don't frequent fastblacks anymore but I assume there is plenty of discussion surrounding the document that aimed several criticisms at Edinburgh Council.

The thing that might concentrate a few minds is the fact that CEC know the legal ground they stand on is rapidly dissapering beneath them.

Minds should be concentrated on what will happen once the mighty CEC have been humbled by what can only be described as ordinary citizens? The high court will no doubt be scathing of councillors who abuse the legal process in order to stringently maintain a policy that has no benefit to the public.

Regards

JD

You've missed my point - the only "source" of this 40 grand value is mr Skull - just cos he wrote it here and you read it don't make it true - and like I said, he's just p!ssed off he dealt too early

Yes well here is the war, Mr D Robertson from Bonnyrigg East Lothian

Sold his plate and taxi 3 weeks ago (TXII Auto 53 Plate with 90,000 on the clock) £61,000.

Mr. Robertson wanted 40k for his plate and 22k to clear his finance. The buyer actually paid in the regions of 6k more than the vehicle was worth.

He could have bought a similar vehicle from Patons for 15K.

The buyer stays in Danderhall.

Mr. Robertson has now gone back to his trade saying "the taxi games fecked you would have to be off your head to spend that kind of money to by in".

Lambs to the slaughter
