BTW I hope your not trying to take a pop at me Diesel. :? The guy I was driving for sold his taxi and went back to his trade because he couldn't make any money, and did not want to lose the opportunity to sell his plate. Donny punted his plate and taxi for £62,000, you should do the same Diesel the bubble is going to burst. I reckon you might have 18 months before it's crackered altogether.

City and Central are going down the pan and ComCab didn't pay 650K to let anyone else have the work. A 160 Ph is a hell of a boost for any company.

Don't wait to be pushed Diesel

£250-£300 shift rental £130 to run my car to get to my work and £130-£150 in diesel to earn less than I did last year and the year before that and the year before that.

I can't afford to work and go backwards Diesel. I'll take my chances putting my efforts in elsewhere for the time being.

It wouldn't be because nobody will give you a rental ?

Anyway, goodbye and good luck in your new venture. NOT !

Typical of some of the scum we have in this trade.

A mush stands up for what he believes, and because it doesn't fit into the status-quo he is put out of work.

W**kers the lot of you.

I have not even attempted to get a rental nor would I pay that kind of money to keep myself in a job. BTW it was I who convinced Donny to sell up.

Don't you like your job Ross?

I think a little holiday might be just what you need. All that stress and worry has a strange effect on people like you. Perhaps you should spend more time with your family.

What do you think?

You see Ross I do have a heart

I am happy with my job, happy with the rental, (Just went up 3%), car at the door, virtually run the taxi without any outlay, a kind of transport manager lol

Gave up stress and worry years ago, not good for your health you know.

Standing up for what one believes is not a bad thing, you make some very good arguements. But trying to force those beliefs on others in some cases aggressively, only leads to greater opposition.

In an ideal world you make good sense. But we don't live in an ideal world do we.

WHERE'S THE BABY ?

Oh I know but isn't the world a very unpredictable place you just never know what might be round the corner  I mean look at ComCab taking over at the Airport and in the town. I can't see City and Central lasting much longer their work has been heading in the wrong direction for sometime

You might be right there Ross  but greater opposition to what exactly? The loss of work, the longer hours, the shortage of drives or the increase in drivers rentals?

Or is it opposition to the Ph fleet expanding and taking all the work?

I bow to your greater wisdom Ross only time will tell whose world we are living in?

I'll take a little bet you will be living in mine very shortly

WHERE'S THE BABY ?
I give in where's the baby? You have me on that one Ross :?

I wish I didnt have to be negative, but no I'm not. :D

I dont think Ross said he does any repairs, I think what he said was he rents the cab.

Why don't you explain the statement Wayne you seem to have a better understanding than us?

Give us a breakdown show us how it makes sense?

Okay.

Ross is happy (this means content I presume) with the amount he pays for the taxi he rents. Presumably (and without the aid of any accounts) the amount he pays in rental is by far outweighed by the amount he receives over the course of a week in fares.

The car at the door means the person who he takes over from picks him up at home.

He runs the cab on little outgoing expenses, presumably diesal, but when MrT takes over Exxon who knows!

And he thinks he's a transport manager....errm I dont quite understand this one, but perhaps he means hes the master of his own shift?

Well I'm glad you cleared that up  maybe you and Ross should keep it a secret though  You're not related in any way are you Wayne?
