Jim Muldoon, chairman of the Scottish Taxi Federation, said: "This is being done purely on the request of one vehicle supplier.

What's that the monopoly, or the break up of it? :?

Good news for freedom choice in Edinburgh but In this day and age every vehicle licensed to carry members of the public should have ABS. It is now up to the citizens of London to ask be their Mayor why their licensed vehicles are not fitted with ABS?

Don't ask

This is the man who doesn't want vehicle choice or an increase in plates but is more than happy for customers to get on a bus or the local Ph.

A sort of Older version of Alan G  if that's possible  straight out of Jurassic Park

If it was down to these guys you would need someone in front of you waving a red flag.

The next step for all licensing authorities in the UK should be to ban vehicles that dont have ABS.

It may interest those LTI owners who went to bed last night unsure of what today was going to bring that for them nothing has changed, they can still drive their LTI vehicles if they wish. It makes one wonder what all the fuss was about and why they tried to stop others from having a choice?

I must ask the question has anything really changed for these turning circle fanatics?
