Given that you are a shaven headed beefy bloke (and the double of that well known gay icon Grant Mitchell) and are only ever seen in the company of an older special male friend, who is himself, often seen hanging around CC Blooms/Cafe Habana/Planet Out is there something that YOU wish to come out and share with the forum Garry - nah that's a direct question and you never answer my direct questions do you         :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You're letting your paranoia show now Gaz - keep watching all around you - from out the shadows of your pathetic imagination will come what :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

It is disrespectful to the shaven one, but as he has no respect for anyone - let alone himself by the way he carries on here - why should I show him respect :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Err, it was supposed to be a joke, hence the smilies. Not a very good joke granted, but I suppose you'd at least need a modicum of a sense of humour to notice that a joke was intended :D

Just because you are easily confused by the rambling lie of one individual why would that affect the afore mentioned bodies? Ross and I have never met; don't know each other; and are most definitely NOT the same person.

Ditto.

Quote:
"Myths and Realities" definitely falls into the category of just cause you read it on the net doesn't make it true. You have collected quotes to suit your stance from local and trade papers - it's not as if they are always the most reliable source of factual evidence.

So which part(s) it is you have a problem with? Or if it's the whole shebang, perhaps you could try a couple of examples? :-k

Quote:
Good God you even cite "evidence" from Jim Taylor in his Cabfarce guise. Like Jim Taylor's paranoid rantings in "The Need for Change" your document pretends be be something it's not - just because the rantings are somewhat eloquent doesn't make them any less a load of old rantings. I always laugh that you slate the Jacobs Report, but are happy to accept the work of cobbled together faction that comprises the Buchanan report. As Jimbo has in his tag line - typewriters and monkeys, now of only there was was a word indicating a stupid thick person that alliterated with Keyboards, I'd have my own new tagline :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Ah, that's the kind of devestating critique I like - all hot air and no substance

By the way, I can't recall ever citing the Buchanan report, possibly because I've never read it, so perhaps this is just a figment of your imagination?

And I can't ever recall having said much about the Jacobs report either, although I have said plenty about surveys in general terms.

So are you just trying to mislead here, or are you just a bit confused? :-s

You cite JT in Myths etc and by placing his Need for Change report on your front page obviously seem to consider it and all of his "work" of some merit. You cite JT's cabforce reports, so obviously view those as valid. As many of JT's conclusions are based on his personal view that the Jacobs report was fundamentally flawed, and by citing JT in your own report, I felt it was safe to conclude that you were at least familiar with the Jacobs Report. Given your love of interference in Edinburgh matters I find it astounding that you haven't read the Buchanan report, as it would provide you with so much material.

In my opinion, neither the Jacobs Report or the Buchanan Report are worth the paper they are printed on (and none of the money paid). In my opinion, they appear to have been written with a definite conclusion in mind and the reports then written to support the conclusion - indeed if the rumours are to be believed - the author of the Buchanan Report has allegedly left the company and allegedly attempted to disclaim any association at all with the report. Of course we all know how good the taxi trade is at spreading inaccuracies of all types

Very convoluted, and not exactly compelling evidence to prove your point, methinks.

For a start, M&R and the quotes from Cabforce were well before the Jacobs report.

As for the NfC, I don't think it necessarily follows that because I think it has some merit then it means I have to be familiar with the Jacobs report? I mean, if you read comment in a newspaper article about a government report/paper or whatever, do you need to have read the report/paper or whatever to think that the article has merit?

And, in any case, just because something is one the site, that doesn't mean I necessarily agree with it, surely?

So why don't you do a critique of M&R or TNfC or the Buchanan report and it can go on the front page, even if I doubt if I'll agree with much of it?

By the way, I can't recall much in the way of me 'interfering in Edinburgh', so could you clarify?

Taking into account some of the horrors that can be found on the net, most of the things on here, if not all of them, are pretty timid. 8-[

But from my experience of taxi forums, it's those that have lot the argument, or didn't have a case to argue, that cry and shout the loudest.

Often over f*** all.

Ignore him :?: :?: Why miss out on all those laughs from watching him struggle to avoid the truth and the dawning reality of his own existance. As I said on another thread, this is only a nice wee distraction from the reality of earning a living - I don't take Skull seriously at all, no one does :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
