What was it Stu said, 41% down, then again Jack you've had a good night on the quietest weeks of the year and everything is rosy in the garden.

Remember my figures are based on a 50 week working year with two weeks holiday and no time off sick.

I was trying to be generous

Tell me this time next year jack I've got a long memory and a good sense of humour

Now it doesn’t matter how you want to cut it this guy has to clear £900 a week to be on half the clock.

Hours 6*12 h= 72 hours

Average working week 36-38 hours.

Now divide £900 into 72 hours less 25% for tax.

Is this a f******g dream world were living in?

This is 72 hours night-shift in the saddle.

Now work the same hours day-shift as a parking attendant for the minimum wage i.e. £4.50 and hour.

What a f*****g joke

300 yesterday, long shift I admit but thats the costs covered, now six shifts or less to make a living.

Btw..220 in bag today...

Keep you updated tho, keeping in mind these are traditionaly the worst 2 weeks in Edinburgh

Jack

Well that's funny Jack I had one of your brethren on the phone last night, wanting to go fishing with his son. He reckons his takings a down at least a 1/3 on where he was three years ago. Oh and BTW this guy owns his own plate in CRT.

Keep talking it up Jack I want you to be right at least for the time being that way the fall is even greater.

Step out of the shadows jack if you want to take me on in an open forum be my guessed.

Whilst I appreciate you guys on the dole have a differant perspective and from what you keep saying you have an abundance of incoming calls I still have to say working in the Edinburgh cab trade is still quite profitable, unpalatable is that might seem to you and your fellow pricks, even that E7 will be acceptable thru time, and thats the crux of it all baldy, the trade will adapt to anything, unlike yourself who will spend most of their time being bitter and unable to use their income support to its best use and probably settle for a low paid nobrainer job that allows you lots of time to snipe at your betters.

I reckon Tescos meat counter is made for you

I though it was you TC/Mike shame you just don't get it?

You need to justify your existence and I understand where you are coming from. I was just like you once. Unfortunately Jack I need it no more, I will bide my time, you on the otherhand will never change.

Ask yourself a question if everything is so good and you are miles ahead of everyone else then why boast about it?

You have nothing to prove I am wrong and time will prove you right, or maybe not?

Who are you trying to kid fanny?

Aye right Jack/Mike/TC very good.

As much as I would like to wast my time working for less I have better things to do.

Enjoy

Funny how everyone is earning less but you are earning more for less hours " even when times are hard" not for you Jack surely?

You are the King of the Taxis, you are the man Jack and I am glad the trade has such a talented individual as you.

Our PH charge £90 single shift (log on and off when it suits you), £120 for 2 drivers double shifting, and £60 for 3 nights TFS or FSS, some contract jobs are fixed price (but at least wht the fair would be and sometimes more) or you put actual mileage in, waiting time can be added to any contract job) and they pay contract monies weekly, and take no cut of contract monies, seems pretty decent compared to others. (costs gets you radio (fitted) data head, business cards etc)

Refresh my memory who did you say you were?

Oh and btw you seem to be so mixed up in your head you don't know who you are or what you are saying for that matter? You attacked me first, read your posts my money making little friend.

Good night tonight was it, covered the investment in your business  did you?

I vaguely remember something about you owning your own business  is that not right?

I'm surprised you can be bothered with you being a made man and all that  you were doing so well at the start you actually made some sense but then all of a sudden you started to fall apart. shame you just couldn't keep it up.

So come on Jack what's your story you obviously have one? You sound like a man on the edge of something and looking blame someone for falling off.

You don't sound quite right for someone that's doing so well  and here's me wanting to be just like you

Well Jack wee are all waiting? Stu seems to think his earnings are down 41% the guy I am going fishing with seems to think he's down a third but you on the other-hand are making a fortune?

I can't think how I got it so wrong  What's your secret Jack I sit hear in abject poverty and want to kiss the ground you walk on

You are my hero Jack I bet we could all learn a thing or two from you

Oh look Jack and you claim it was I who attacked you

So come on Jack tell us all about the money you've made and how good the taxi game is?

Face it Jack you came on here vent your spleen and was looking for any excuse to do just that. You are one of the blame merchants watching your business going down the pan. Wait till this time next year or the year after £40,000 for a plate

Enjoy Jack and keep earning those telephone numbers

Earn £900 a week and give half of it away less fuel works out to £22.50 for 40 hours or £12.50 for 72hours. (This must be one of those work 40hours to get 32 hours free deals.)

Work it out like I said before 50 weeks averaging £900.00 a week with no holiday or sick-pay. (I doubt very much if there is any one in Edinburgh that can keep up this kind of average with the exception of money bags Jack of course)

Now work out your sleep patterns coupled with your time preparing to going back and forward to your work against a 168hour week with one day off.

Now tell me how these hours are safe for the public or the driver, not forgetting the drivers general health?

Come on Jack tell us how good it is walking your little tight rope  Don't tell me you are having it so easy you just can't cope

I'm a bit concerned about the safety of your passengers Jack that's 10 hours

Now tell me how many hours did you put in to get the £300 you claimed to earn the other night

Can you give me Friday and Saturdays totals with hours worked Jack now we've established who you are?

Silly me I'm very forgetful
