Has anyone got any idea of the cheapest company and whether there are any deals out there.

I'm a one car driver and would need home start to be covered.

Not many want us anymore.

But I think the best bet for national cover is still the AA.

My Insurance with Tradex threw it in for £40 (London based Taxi only recovery agent) per annum.

I took it, the AA in London have too few staff, and I don't want to be waiting 2 hours if something goes bang.

I was in the RAC for 15 years then they stopped doing PH/taxi's.
I'm now with the AA. I got a letter from the RAC last week asking me to rejoin as they now will do PH/taxi!.
Me reckon's they lost a load of buisseness

But isn't it at a price far higher than the AA?

I was offered one at the trade show the other month but it's free membership and you pay for every callout

I quickly worked it out that you would be paying £100 to £300 every time you called them out after adding together call out charges mileage charges etc etc etc

I noticed a couple a months back that the RAC were advertising in PHM but I believe they have a bad reputation for not attending or treating as lowest priority callouts to taxis

Perhaps someone should get quotes from AA RAC Green Flag and post them on the forumso we can all compare them
