At a guess it's because there's an endless supply of drivers looking to work in the taxi trade. And as the supply of vehicles is limited, the price of the rentals is growing, so the assumed return on the plates has increased. :wink:

The "endless supply" as you put it, Sussex, does not apply here, and not anywhere else I know of. Why is Mr Preece going to such lengths to import drivers?
