I don't know if this case is related to the one above as the description of the Taxi rank differs. Perhaps someone in Devon can advise us? However, the culprits probably got what they deserved.

HEADLINE: Jail for drunken attack youths
Two drunk youths who attacked people queuing at a Torquay taxi rank will spend the next two months behind bars.
Appearing in Torbay Magistrates Court, Daniel Corness, 20, of Littlegate Road in Paignton and Paul Fagan, 23, of Reeds Road in Huyton, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to jointly using threatening and unlawful violence.
The court heard that on March 5, police were called to the taxi rank on Vaughan Parade to restrain the two youths and another man from punching and kicking people who had been waiting in line.
Prosecutor Michael Ashby said Fagan had admitted to drinking about 20 pints of cider and lager while Corness said he also drank about 14 pints that night.
The court heard the men had been involved in an assault outside a nightclub near The Strand, and had walked down to the harbour to get a cab home at about 1am.
The court heard the men hailed a taxi and Fagan got in, but Corness did not as he was speaking with another man at the rank. Fagan then leapt out of the taxi thinking Corness was arguing with the man and punched him.
The court heard Fagan and Corness punched and kicked "four or five" people at the cab rank before police arrived.
In CCTV footage shown in the court, one victim was punched in the head five times. Solicitor Richard Porritt said Fagan and Corness were apologetic and "recognised it as an ugly incident that should never have happened".
The court was told that Fagan had returned to Liverpool and was working with his brother as a labourer, while Corness had been accepted at college. Sentencing District Judge Paul Farmer said: "I am told that on viewing this video you were both very quiet and thoughtful.
"I'm anticipating any member of the public who saw this would be just as quiet and thoughtful over just how low it is possible for a human to sink. "If you seek to drink and choose to behave in this way on our streets, you will be deprived of your liberties."
He sentenced them both to 60 days imprisonment.
Corness will serve his penalty in a Young Offenders Institution.
