It could do with making clearer, but when have council's ever made things easy for taxi drivers!

I only found out about the rule after i had been a hackney driver for a few months. Perhaps i should have done more research, but perhaps it would be much easier to change the ruling, especially in smaller towns like mine.

I am finding it not too bad at the moment. When i have a call out, i put it on rate 2, it is usually more than i would have charged being private hire so i lower the pice accordingly as i dont want to price myself out of the market and end up with no phone work.

Still finding it hard to compete with the big offices though, so any more ideas about generating more work would be helpful.

And a booking fee should be classed as a PH tariff IMO. :wink:

Might not be your most favourite suggestion, but why not join up with one of them till it gets better? :?
