Taxi Textracker
We are releasing a new tracking and management system that enables taxi owners to locate there taxis and send messages to the driver direct from there computer. The system is ideal for knowing which taxi is on-hire or available and updates there location every 5 seconds directly onto street maps on the controllers PC.
The system is currently on trial with Callacab in Edinburgh, it costs £399 to buy and has a fixed monthly subscription of £14.99 regardless of the air time usage or the messages sent to and from the cab drivers.
The system works using MapPoint mapping software similiar to the MapPoint Textracker on the website with the addition of management software which allows bookings, messages, find nearest cab, locate all taxis at the same time, etc..
Before we finally release the product and software we need to gather some input from the potential buyers or users as to what would make it the ideal product for them.
