Disabled punters in Dunbarton have told the council to stick the wav's where the sun don't shine, they claim that unless they are in a wheelchair they cannot get into them.
This was on the Scottish news last night.
The council is insisting that all taxis be wav but the punters and drivers are saying only a % of them need be.
They had a tx 2 and a euro cab and a saloon in the news footage, a woman who tried to get into the tx and euro cab claimed she could not, but watching the footage i was amazed that the euro driver forgot to pull out the step for her, If he had she would have got in no problem.
I think its daft having all wav's when there is only limited work for them

Our council stated some time ago that they wouldn't go down that road and many customers do hate the wav's but a few like find them easier to get into so there is a place for them but not forcing them on the taxi using public they'd vote with their feet and stop using taxi's and start using PH
