This chap was one of the first Minicab drivers to be licensed under the new regime, he's a respected senior member of the Minicab trade in North London, here's his slant on Terrence.

He posts on the LPHCA site.

Once again, and quite predictably, Comrade Flanagan reverts to type - it is typical of the left that, when unable to respond to a logical argument, they resort to shouting insults and abuse, or setting up a picket line!

Flanagan wants to represent the drivers by, for example, negotiating better terms etc with the operators. How he can even begin to imagine that he could hold meaningful negotiations with people he has variously described as 'scum', 'vermin' and 'parasites' beggars belief!

Flanagan, of course, is a political bed-fellow of Mayor Kenneth Livingstone, the man who told us, in the run-up to licensing, that the licence disc would enable us to use the bus lanes. We all know what became of that promise - it went the same way as at least a dozen other of Livingstone's promises!

Of course there is apathy amongst our drivers, because they can see no-one capable of representing them properly.

What we need is a driver's representative body led by an intelligent. literate person whose sole concern would be to represnt the drivers in negotiations with operators, Livingstone, TfL and local authorites, and who will not use our industry as platform for propogating a repulsive, discredited and outdated political doctrine!

Edward

So Cap £2,500 a year what if it's a serious issue and you need to have the barrister in court for more than an hour.

Also if we start making headway through parliament on the health and safety issue related to long working hours being forced on the drivers can we count on the support of the Carlisle popular front.

Was going to make comments about Wolfie's in Sheep's clothing but your ruftie tuftie mate in Sefton might bash me up.

Now if you were going to make a comment about Wolfie Smith's clothing, I'd bring Terry in on it.

His calender is currently on October 1978.

A serious issue?

So why do I pay my TOA each year for legal expenses insurance ?
