I hope everyone notes the abscence ot the dick head duo MrT and Capt who tried to ridicule public safety issues and were comprehensivley anhilated by the debate. The more i learn about these two characters and the disgusting regime in hack licencing the more i realise their reasons for attacking the trade union movement.Self interest and exploitation would seem to be their only interest.
OUR DAY WILL COME

With you at the helm, your day will never come.

Although your day will be with you a lot sooner than you think.

There is no debate to enter into, in case you haven't noticed the people on this forum are professional drivers, only an idiot like you would lecture them on something they already know is dangerous, I think you're making the mistake of placing TDO's members in the same category of intelligence as the people you associate with..... yawn ...

Excuse me, I have been away on holiday for a few days.

Your day has about as much chance of coming as the devil ice skating to work.

This debate highlights where Trade Unions struggle to adapt their normal policies into the taxi industry.

The fact that the great majority are self employed and therefore choose their own hours normally dictated by the financial investment they have made.

The "workers" are also the employers .................. GMB fails to understand this within his rantings.

MrT's little racket?

Long hours are part and parcel of deregulation that is of course if you consider this a profession, if you dont consider it a profession following deregulation it turns part time to some, with wages topped up by the State.

De-regulation is not a solution to any transport issue, have you heard about the deregulated bus service? How things have transpired? Were'nt you shouting about how Ken has kept London's regulated buses operating?

As for good characters, does it not seem unreasonable to question the character of a person who on one hand cannot hold a PHV license, but on another can import East European labour?

That is not a typo.

We were deregulated, we went from a policy that had control of vehicle type and numbers to no control of numbers and limited control on type.

Delimitation is a word used by local authorities who dont like that nasty tory word deregulation, and of course that alleged god of taxis Mr Button.

And its an unsuitable policy here, there is control of [edited by admin] all, just anarchy.

The reason councils have deregulated is NOT because they wanted to ............ its because they have been forced to.

2007 will see a clear governmental directive as to the issue of retaining restrictive policies within our industry.
