I have given a copy of the Lien case what TDO produced on site to my mate, [he thanks you very much]

From my mate to TDO, thank you he says, he has no internet facility at the moment, I am trying my best to help the bloke, hey I hardly know him, only through sitting on the rank but he's a good person, but it hard, he don't tell me everything at once, its like extracting teeth, he keeps a lot to himself, I and other drivers have to extract bits and pieces and put 2 and 2 together to help him, cos nobody else will

Keep us informed of what happens.

Regards

Most people tend to keep money worries to themselves, and none of us can blame them.

Let's all hope it gets sorted. [-o<

He has been to the solicitor, the vehicle has to be released by Friday, Monday latest, the solicitor said, the driver has to go down and inspect the vehicle to his satisfaction, because the driver was in mutual agreement over the last 9 years with payment on account [credit] he has 2 months to pay the bill after release, to which he will, on the other hand it is expected that a counter claim for loss of contracts, hiring of another taxi, hire of taxi plate for vehicle impounded and all other expences and damages/solicitor fees, will estimated be nearly 30 grand, but he will except a lower figure.

The Lien on taxi is coming to ahead

my mate through solicitors is ready to forward the cheque for the repair to the taxi that is in lien

the solicitors have spun this out for months boosting their coffers

hopefully the results will be produced in the next week as he gets permission to pick up his taxi on clearance of cheque, subject to the other side acceptance, to which is payment of repair only, no store charges to be met

update as it goes

Update
The taxi has been picked up from the garage, the garage owner told the taxi owner, your warranty of 6 months has run out, sign this disclaimer before it goes out from the garage or it won't get released, the driver/owner was told don't come back anymore, we won't entertain you.

there is a 3/4 tank of diesel missing from said vehicle, costs so far, bill for taxi repair just short of 3 grand, plus 2,500 quid taxi driver's solicitors fee, all paid up, next its county court to counterclaim
