When I was mini cabbing in Romford two years ago drivers were in short supply and cab firms were 10 a penny thats why I didn't stand for any [edited by admin] from controllers.

drivers are a dime a dozen, especially with these eastern europeans coming onto the scene.

Driver arrogance, Operator arrogance, customer arrogance and yes Boss arrogance, there is not enough room for so many ego's

we now pay our operators starting wage £6 an hour and the experienced ones get near enough £12

so we have got rid of their arrogance, we tell them plenty want their job, we also limit our drivers and make sure drivers are on a damn good wage, we let them know we have a waiting list, get rid of their ego.

customers are charged by the mile, signage on doors and dash to make sure driver clocks his mileometer and if any doubt ask to see fare list.

you need to bridge the divisions.

I doubt Comcab pay much more to their Scottish staff, and your mob own 20% of it.

Was 100%, but that's another issue.

hey, if you want the best staff, on time, everytime then you have to pay the dime.

to be quite honest with you, the experienced ones have been with us 12 years and we tend to over pay them because in effect they helped establish the firm.

I think the problem is that they love having a pop at each other, and think no-ones looking.

But I suspect they do have the trade at heart, it's just they struggle to get that across.

That said, you should have seen me when all this taxi forum lark started 6 years ago.

we invest in the local community, instead of sucking money out of the city and area we try our best to invest as much as we can back into the people who use our service.

the girls who work for us put up a lot of [edited by admin] when we started off and the huge wage is there to show that. Anyhow i wont act like we pay all our staff £12 quid an hour, most of them are at £6.50 an hour.
