I'd say they were either talking bollocks, or they were GMB members.

Picked up two guys this evening going to City Airport, they told me it costs £8 minimum fare before you step into an Addison Lee Minicab, and about £30 from the city out to the City Airport.

And they were'nt GMB members.

Anyone can write or print whatever amount they want on a receipt. :-$

I think its just another real London Taxi bashing propaganda story / lie from the poor side of the trade.

Did you ask them if they were GMB members?

I guess its more interesting than 'how's your day been'?

and by the way GBC it was paid for by credit card and im sure the 2 gentlemen from ireland, may have printers at their disposal but not to carry around with them, furthermore im based in the middlesex area approx 10 miles from heathrow so i could write a book about the horror stories relayed to me by the people of this area and the attitude of black cab drivers towards them.... could tell a few stories of my own from my earlier days over here........like the time the driver begged me to get out in hayes(live in harrow at time) so he could get back within the 30 mins.....anyways, HOW MUCH FROM HEATHROW TERM 1 TO HAREFIELD?????? anyone? PLEASE!

You should be thankfull for the small mercies God has afforded you.

A thirteen mile fare would be approx. £45.

Cheaper than Addison Lee, and less hours per week as well.

I'm based all over London, usualy about 17 miles from Heathrow, so I could write War and Peace about the horror stories relayed to me by the people of London and the attitude of Minicab drivers towards them.

But I don't have to, the local and national press take care of that one.
