Taxi Driver Online

During December 2006 the existing late night marshalled taxi and private hire schemes will be extended to run on extra nights and a new temporary scheme will be in operation in Kingston Town Centre.

Full details of the dates and times of operation for each scheme are below.

Beckenham

During December 2006 the marshalled taxi rank in High Street, Beckenham will operate during the following times:

The normal marshalling arrangements will recommence on Friday 5 January 2007 at the standard times (Friday and Saturday evenings between 22:30 and 02:30)

Bromley – Market Square

During December 2006 the marshalled taxi rank in Market Square (outside Costa Coffee) will operate during the following times:

City of London – Liverpool Street

During December 2006 the marshalled taxi rank at Liverpool Street Station will operate during the following times:

City of London – Queen Victoria Street

A new marshalled taxi rank trial has started in Queen Victoria Street, EC4 between Bank Station and Queen Street. The new rank is on the south side of Queen Victoria Street, adjacent to Budge Row, and outside the Temple Bar nightclub. The scheme commences on Thursday 9 November 2006.

The normal hours of operation will be Thursday and Friday evenings between 22:00 and 01:00 but during December 2006 the scheme will operate during the following times:

During December 2006 the marshalled private hire pick-up point in Katherine Street (outside the Central Library) in Croydon Town Centre will operate on the following dates:

During December 2006 the taxi rank on Clarence Street (outside of Oceana nightclub) will be marshalled between 22:30 and 03:30 on the following dates:

Finishing at 1.30 and 2.30am? sounds a bit of a half hearted attempt to me.
We still have 80 -100 punters in the queue at that time, and their still arriving up to 4-4.30am!!
