I have every article they have ever published and if they ever try to come the oracle that they don't steal other journalists articles I'll be right there to remind them that they do.

I think I have asked you before, but can you find the article from Les Hoath (I think) written about five years ago re: the discrimination against yellow badge drivers at Heathrow?

Very good, and very close to my heart. The discrim bit not the Heathrow bit.

Sorry Sussex, I looked but could not find it, at least not under a word search. Considering I came up with several of Mr Hoaths quite thought provoking articles I assume I don't have the one you need? lol

I was surprised to read him criticising the LTDA in one particular article but he astutely had the presence of mind to praise them at the same time? lol HE must be a very diplomatic fellow.

Regards

JD

I'm grateful for you looking.

Try as I might, I just cannot shed a tear for journalists. Lazy bunch of good for nothings. They increase the cost of their paper by 25% and then have a go at Taxi drivers for "Hiking" (thought that was a long walk with ski poles) fares by 5%. Of course, "journalists" would never stoop so low as to "rip off" someone elses story, would they? You're on that high horse again, JD, get down, before you hurt yourself.

And while you're at it I'd rather believe in Father Christmas.

lol I just thought it a bit rich that the Editor of Taxitalk magazine could come out and imply that his magazine did not resort to using third party material but others did?

I have a 2003 Taxitalk mag here where journalists who have no connection with Taxitalk wrote practically every article? I don't mind anyone making capital out of the truth but when a magazine tells a blatant lie in order to try and discredit other publishers then that's going too far.

Regards

JD

i hold up my hands Press Cuttings Monthly as done exactly as JD says,
we have in house journalists who rewrite stuff from other press
ie daily papers and news press over the net.

the reason being is that finding the stories out there is a nightmare.
and more so the factual correct stuff.

but we do get the journalists to do interviews with trade reps etc.
a good person we've interviewed on a couple of occasions is Mike Shingler
of Birmingham and Solihull Assoc, he always as loads of good points to raise.

its true GBC was offered a page opposite Terrys [GMB] Its always good to put opposing views on opposite pages, unlike other magazines you dont get to read just one point of view........THEIRS
anyone with any point of view can write in the mag, its then with varying views the readers of the mag can make up their mind on what they want to believe or have what they believe is the correct view in their own eyes

THE MAGAZINES SHOULD BE A FORUM FOR NEWS AND UPDATES AND A PLACE FOR THE TRADE TO FIND OR VOICE THEIR OPINIONS AND NOT JUST THE OPINIONS OF THE EDITOR OF THAT PUBLICATION

i've got Les Hoaths phone number if you want it JD i'm sure he can find the article you were looking for.

i dont always agree with terry's comments infact i've cringed on many occasions,

what you see in the mag as quite often been edited...lol
but terry is out to get a reaction and by doing so get debate started....!!

his intentions are good....honestly...lol
but i do see how he [edited by admin] people off. and how he can make enemies.

i dont agree with posts on the forum such as remberance sunday being used for a place for slagging each other off.

that post was put on to remember the sacrifices that people gave for... US
and that shouldnt be forgotten....!!
