Hi guys this is just a bit of info i recieved recently through a good source. In london alone there is a monthly average of ten sexual assaults on women carried out by illegal cab drivers. THERE IS 68,000 HACKNEYS in england and wales(including 21,000 in london alone with another 123,000 private hire vehicles or minicabs. Scotland just over 10,000 of each.

Great eh? and the response of the F----h harras the LICENCED trade.Dont they just make you sick,for in effect they are aiding and abbeting these assaults what a shower!

Need I point out the statement is factually incorrect.

To be a Taxi or a PH driver you need a license, until you achieve a license you are NOT a taxi or a ph driver.

So why the emphasis on illegal 'cab' drivers?

The sexual assaults are carried out be people pretenting to be 'cab drivers', therefore 'pretend cab drivers' is in my opinion a more apt description.

On this occasion Terry is absolutely correct and it comes down to enforcement.

Seriously in London its a real problem unfortunately the make up of Transport Operational Command Unit TOCU leaves very much to be desired.We use the TERM BOGUS to describe these SCUM and i repeat the Filths action is aiding and abetting the ASSAULTS howlong before its MURDER?

I dont think even your freind GBC could condemn a properly operating and properly licensed PH driver.

Both the HC trade and PH trade recognise we are tarred with the same brush when it comes to sicko's going out in their own cars and pretending to be cab and PH drivers.

The headline writers seem to like the headlines 'Taxi rapist' , 'Minicab Rape' etc, all these do nothing to promote those of us who see the trades as professions.

Well now that London's PR H are licenced, why are they not allowed to use a top sign with private hire only on it, it would be a lot easier as all public hire are black cabs, so there can be no argument, and have the same size plates as a hackney, instead of a very small stickers, why not go the whole hog and get meters fitted, this would help cut down on women being attacked

Why should a pre booked vehicle be recognisable?

If the customer has correctly pre booked the vehicle wont they be expecting the vehicle?

Wont meters excourage PH to ply for hire? With PH the contract is between the passenger and the operator and the fare should be previously agreed?

The typical response of a commited socialist in screaming racism, thug and murderers at those that have a difference of opinion to them politically shows just how poisioned the union is against any form of democratic opinion and laughable at best when he then refers to 'democratic procedures'. Illegal taxi driver is sex beast

AN ILLEGAL taxi driver who groped a woman in the back of his car has been caged for twoand-a-half years.

Soifur Ali, 49, picked up the 21-year-old at a line of minicabs out-side a bar in Greenwich.

He took her to a secluded street before climbing into the back and molesting her while touching himself.

Ali, who claimed the victim consented, was convicted of sexual assault at the Old Bailey on Friday.

The court heard Ali was a married father-of-five who worked as a black market taxi driver to earn extra money on top of his job at an Indian restaurant. Prosecutor Christopher Stimpson said the victim left her friends to get a cab home from Inc Bar in College Approach around mid night on March 31.


Mr Stimpson said: "She only had about £5 on her at that stage and she knew that wasn't enough to get a black cab so she headed towards what she thought was a minicab. "He stopped the car near Old Dover Road and she started to get some money but she heard the car doors lock."


Ali climbed into the back seat, made lewd remarks to the victim and touched her.


Afterwards she called police and was able to give officers part of Ali's registration number.


He was arrested in May.


Ali, of Tennyson Road, Stratford, east London, was banned from driving a taxi for five years under a sex prevention order.


He will be on the sex offenders' register indefinitely.

Captain, I hear what your saying, but how many times do we hear it?, I had a girl outside my office this weekend waiting for a car when a tout pulled up and she got in his car, I ran out and told her it was not lincensed and her reply, "I don't care".
Ask any woman if she would get in a srangers car if it pulled up in the street and the driver said "wanna lift darling", and they would all say no.
