Firstly if you want the same rights as us do the knowledge,

Secondly all these PH passengers with medical conditions, get a bloody Taxicard and use black cabs which will only cost you £1.50 per single journey............Ken pays the rest, and has all the disabled access aids.

Thirdly the driver speaks English and knows where he is going!!!

Well the truth of the matter is PH will get all it asks for.The deal has already been DONE.The leaders of HC know this and are just making the appropriate noises for the PHILISTINES.The meeting was a milestone for the industry and clearly demonstrated that when we organise we will be succesfull. The GMB is determined to repeat this success nationwide.Brighton and Newcastle topping the list at the moment. Why not read again the thread an open invite from the GMB.
ORGANISE EDUCATE AGITATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah Bigot! your back.

How was your annual pilgrimage to Stalingrad?

The deal has been done? Really? :D
If it has, it certainly has nothing to do with the GMB, all I heard were complaints about your union trying to hijack all the glory for others hard work.

Time will tell, but I would'nt hold the old breath.

Nice to see 2 of Londons finest PHILISTINES whining as usual.Youve been done you dopes, much more to come,RANKS,METERS,SIGNAGE,just a few of the delights for us.GBC do you ever get a prediction anywhere near accurate??
Lets make it quite clear the GMBPDB would like to work alongside the HC trade to establish agreed demarcation lines enabling us then to work together in the interests of the industrys, and its workers.
The racist fascist views so ignorantly spouted by these 2 CRETINS would lead most people to think [no chance] however i know this pathectic duo are entirely unrepresentative of your NORMAL HC.driver who recognises the need for co-operation between both sections.
TAXI_CARD also allocate PH vehicles whose passengers deserve equality and thanks to our negotiations will now get it,only a moron would deny them that access.for HC is unable or more likely UNWILLING to cover that work.

Thats an interesting post Terry, which one of the 90 people that turned up for your meeting helped you?

I count 10 spelling mistakes, 4 grammar mistakes, and one load of bullshit. :D

I'm of out to earn a bomb now, and since its a done deal, I'll expect to see Minicabs picking up fares from the rank (like they do in the night) with their roof signs on and all over ad's going down the Bus Lane in front of me. :D

Have you ever sought help for your mental illness?

Tit.

As another once said:

The typical response of a commited socialist in screaming racism, thug and murderers at those that have a difference of opinion to them politically shows just how poisioned the union is against any form of democratic opinion and laughable at best when he then refers to 'democratic procedures'.
Are the thugs and murderers he refers to in the BNP no more dangerous than the hired bully boys at the labour conference tussling 83 year old pensioners and others out of the conference that protested to their strong arm tactics. Or are they even worse than the Unionists in the UK that helped Mugabe to power so that he could create genocide enmass against the other tribes such as the Matabele

Say's it all really.

Doesn't really matter how many turned up, but you will read about it in PH Courier I suspect, all that matters is that one person says yes.

And I think Red Ken has.

Minicab drivers bid for red route rightsNov 28 2006

By Anna Giokas

MINICAB drivers are campaigning for the same rights as black cab drivers - saying they are forced to face parking fines or drop vulnerable passengers hundreds of yards from their homes.

Licensed minicab drivers - led by a taxi firm manager from Streatham Hill - say it is becoming impossible to deliver the door-to-door service that passengers expect because, unlike black cab drivers, they are fined for stopping on red routes to pick up and drop off their customers.

Brian Curtis, 68, who has a lung condition and must travel everywhere with an oxygen cylinder, is one of many who rely on minicabs.

He said: "Where I live there is a restriction which means the cabs are not supposed to wait. But if they didn't wait I would be a prisoner in my own home.

"I am not just thinking of myself. There are many people in the same situation."

Campaign co-ordinator and former minicab driver David Beck, from Streatham Hill, organised a meeting of more than 400 drivers in central London on Tuesday last week, calling for the law to be changed.

Among the politicians at the meeting was North Southwark and Bermondsey MP Simon Hughes.

Mr Beck, who runs minicab firm Page Transport, said: "A lot of our passengers are vulnerable or old and we are in a situation where the driver is in a dilemma.

"He either he has to think of himself and drop his passenger off a long way from their house, or think of his passenger and risk a fine.

"Ninety-nine times out of a hundred he will think of the passenger and risk the £100 fine."

He said licensed minicabs were part of the London transport system and, like buses, black cabs and trains should be given rights in law to reflect that.

A Transport for London (TfL) spokesman said: "Transport for London recognises the invaluable service provided by London's private hire trade, which provides a reliable and flexible travel option throughout the capital.

"TfL is exploring how to allow private hire vehicles to pick up and set down passengers on red routes, in a way that does not interfere with the effective operation of those routes.

"We are working with representatives from the industry to bring about changes which will see a further improvement in public transport in London."

Firstly, apologies for not attending the meeting GMB.

Although london is coverd by taxi's, the problem is that the old granny going to the bingo would have to wait a long time for a taxi to drive past her house in order to get to the bingo, that's where phv's come in.
The problem with red routes are that they are everywhere now. Someone may be going to a resturant in thier local high street and we cannot stop outside, if it's raining we have to stop a fair way down the street and they get wet.

What we are asking for is some common sense, I dropped of in tottenham crt rd and was stopped for 23 seconds according to the cctv and yet still got a £50 ticket.
