I'd appreciate that. I just havent seen any real images of a TX4 apart from the computer generated ones. Havent seen one in the flesh either in Glasgow although I'm sure there must be at least one out on the road given the number of taxis on the road up here.

They look exactly the same as the TX1/2, apart from the big fat grill that looks like the Fairway.

The more I look at the new TX4 the more I am thinking I might just get one
Am sick of em breathing down me neck or spittling in me face as they get in my saloon cab, don't know about you lot but it was said years ago by an old hand cab driver, if your cabbing you need purpose built, its taken me 20 odd years to come to that conclusion, maybe not to late to go down that road

I got a young bird in last night, clever clogs, as she got in she said I feel sick, so I said get out now, only joking she said, I told her nope, I am not joking, I'm deadly serious, get out, got a gob full of abuse from her and nearly a full swing of the door till I put my hand to stop it, at least if it was a tx I could just charge her if she was ill then swill it out with the hose pipe

and at least you are away from them in a tx

For safety reasons it is wise to buy a cab with a partition, in the past, choice has always been very limited but it is better now than it ever was.

I was in M&O's new premises earlier on.

Very nice, a step up from Holloway road.

The eager salesman rushed across to me as I was looking at a Purple (Yes, PURPLE) TX4.
'We've just sold 340' he told me.

I asked him when he expected the first trade in's, but he did'nt have an answer.

340 in a couple of months aint bad, this should be a record year for LTI if that number keeps pace.
Dunno about the Purple one though?

What you need is a mint condition Dark grey R reg which has been maintained to the highest level, which might be on the market next spring after someone sits down, does some maths, and see if he can be bothered working extra hours. :D
