The problem with London mags is that they specifically cater for the London Taxi trade which might be the largest single licensing area in the country but is dwarfed by the potential of the rest of the Taxi trade in England and Wales.

Although they are well written mags they invariably offer little in the way of connectivity with the trade outside of London.

Maybe someone should appraoach the editor and suggest a 'life outside the smoke' column.

But the best bit about that mag is the letters page.

London's a special case both in being the best Taxi service in the world, and having it's own special legislation.

If people don't want to read the magazine, then don't.

But as everyone knows, when London sneezes . . . . .

I know for a fact Van Aaken one of the big players (and the most successful) have started to approach large Metropolitan licensing authorities telling them of the benefit's of Londons Euro 3 upgrade kits, and how clean it will make the city air.

All it takes is a few tree hugging LO's, and hey presto it's on it's way to a town near you?

I mentioned Blackpool as it seems to have the oldest cab's still alive.

They must think its Christmas (I know it is) up there at the moment, all these G H and J's coming off plate in London, and heading up the M6.

You should grab one that misses the turn, then trade in that rattling Ford of your's.
