Not old enough to have done national service, anyway would have effed off to the republic .Unless we were fighting NAZIs.
Mike Dicken used to work for LBC when it was in Gough Sq London EC4 IE Fleet St.He started drinking in our print workers drinking club. [opening hours 10pmto3am] as you can imagine he got involved in many a discussion with us the printers.Such was his disgusting opinions on trade unions and his arrogance he eventually got a good kicking, it was well deserved, i have met many pieces of shiite in my time, this barsteward got in the top ten easily.Dont have the audacity to criticise someone who met this c--t on a regular basis, he was a drunkard who insulted all and sundry for money. He even took bets on who he would insult next, arrogant racist turd. the planet is now a cleaner place., You want to listen to someone on the radio try George Galloway Talk Sport a maverick for sure probably the best available nowadays.
EDUCATE EDUCATE EDUCATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tony you must realise that many didnt take your option, i made many a speech during the Miners dispute and prevented many from taking your route. Why because i detested the idea of the victims of Thatcher becoming cannon fodder.I definitely prevented hundreds joining the MOB. I am proud that i did so, nothing annoys me more than the victims of Thatchers economic terrorism being slaughterd in colonial disputes. I hold no grudge against the likes of you who went in, i shudder at the toll of working class guys and galls who died.
Dont for one moment think that i dont love this country or my ancestral home Ireland, i would have fought for this country against Nazis had i been old enough. My father flew Lancasters during WW2, this outfit sufferd MORE fatalities pro rata than any section of armed forces, he could have gone to Ireland and opted out he stayed and fought, this within living memory of The Tans at whose hands some of our relatuives were murderd.Dont think because i want a republic im anti British i just would prefer another system. My father had 2 brothers one saw action in the Army, and the other had a desk job in the Navy.
The dole was yours of right it is purely the money WE payed in for your protection, you should have took it no shame involved thats what it was there for.You fought no War to protect MY right of free speech, you were kidded into colonial WARS.The 6 counties, The Malvinas, and others which a substantial portion of the population were against, they cannot be compared with WW2 .You probably dont agree with my analysis, but dont make the accusation that i want to detroy this nation, im as patriotic as you, its just that i recognise no role for the Windsors, you should have took an oath of loyalty to the nation, not that worthless individual.
I hope ypu understand my point of view I have only made this effort to explain to you, due to my respect for YOU.
UP THE REPUBLIC Terry

thanks for that tel...!!

but your father and others did die for your free speech.
of which most right minded people would do so.

somethings we wont agree on tel.

but sometimes even in conflicts you wont agree with everything.
its the end goal which is important not personal opinions or politics.

abit like unions etc i guess...lol

terry a story for ya...!!

in jan 91 op grapple 1, the 1st gulf war to some.

did you know that on the night of the land forces going into action on the first night of the land battle, that the 1st soldier to die wasnt from enemy fire, or the yanks friendly fire....!!
but whilst been driven in convoy to their release point [rp]
a soldier was having a p1ss out the back of the vehicle he was travelling in.
it hit a bump and he fell out onto the track and the other vehicles in convoy went over him.

how can you explain that to his parents...?

Tony my father survived the war, he died 2001.We will all fight for free speech together.and on here excersise it thats what they died for.
The end goal of course and strangely enough were not far apart.
As for Dicken i had the misfortune to know him, and my opinion is as valid as anyone elses.and maybe more informed?
I didnt agree with the Iraq wars, and it infuriates me that this govt can send troops out there inadequately equiped, but they shouldnt be there and when you volunter you make yourself available for abuse.
Some of my generation were sent to Aden,Celon,Cyprus,Kenya,N Ireland, but thankfully avoided Vietnam ,inmy opinion they had no right to be in any of these countries.Avery substantial proportion of the nation will agree with me,they may not be present on this site but we have as much right to our opinions as anyone else!
What disturbs us is the mind set of many ex forces people, virtually all right wing monarchy worshipping racists, they are extremely prevelant on here, they are virtualy all anti union, but strangely many are victims of industrial abuse[Rambo being a prime example] what exactly are they brainwashed with in the MOB?
Finally we have all seen the bullying and racists murders that take place on an almost regular basis in the ARMY WHY, surely cause for serious concern, add all this up i wonder just what is going on?????
HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS AND UP THE ARSENAL CELTIC AND OF COURSE THE REPUBLIC Terry.

Must you hijack every thread with this socialist sheeite about ****'s?

WTF has a Radio presenters death got to do with ****'s?

You need help upstairs, your obsessed.

I was hoping I would'nt have to post this link again, but it says everything does'nt it?

'In response to the GMB letter in last months issue I can only say how shocked I was to have touched such a raw nerve and having exposed the socialist and distasteful value's of those in control of the drivers branch of the GMB, I hope he has done their recruitment drive serious damage and people see the ulterior motive of this socialist organisation for what it is. The typical response of a commited socialist in screaming racism, thug and murderers at those that have a difference of opinion to them politically shows just how poisioned the union is against any form of democratic opinion and laughable at best when he then refers to 'democratic procedures'

FFS Terry, the guy has a wife and kids, he died a week before christmas and I dont think he's even been buried yet.

If you didnt like him, fair enough, simply dont comment.

And please dont give me the free speech BS, its about common decency.

GBC new you wouldnt be able to overcome your inbuilt prejudices for long. There was no hijacking of any thread just me and me old mate Tony having a little debate in a sensible manner. We decided it was relevant. our privilege?
Capt Common decency oh yeh didnt see him display any at any time, but strangely enough I might agree that I descended to his level maybe a lesson learnt.
I dont know about you but being a newcomer to computers i find the messages on occasion strangely provocative.were we to make the remarks to each other face to face with a smile or gesture they would be immediately disarmed, on here its like a kick in the teeth, im getting there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What, you mean compassion for a fellow human being?

I'll send you some for Christmas, try not to associate that with ****'s or the BNP or The Royal Family.
