as for perspex windows ask your licensing office / inspector the question because no doubt it may be ok in one location but not in another licensing office.

as for insurance pm me or ring me at the office and i'll get you a discount
from most insurance companies.

tel: 01274 420029

or just go to back issues of Press Cuttings Monthly click on the link below and phone a couple of the insurance companies up, get in touch with me if you get a good price and i'll phone up and get you a discount off your quote.

that goes for anyone.....!!

Thanks again, the perspex windows arnt an issue now as the transit was lwb.

On the insurnace front i will give you a call when i know what im getting...

Im still a little unsure of the bus type tbh..

The good old transit seems ok but the comfort zone is low, saying that the bits are cheap but i am looking towards one with 100k on it

As an alternative i could look into these cheap imported mpv's previas and estimas. I know some are prown to head gaskets but the ones that arnt can be bough with small mileage say 50k (uk)

Thoughts?

Thanks, still looking.

Went to see 2 transits today, one wouldnt start and the other had no arches left..

There seem to be plenty of lwb ones but everyone says i should have a swb as its easier to get around..?

Any thoughts on vw caravells?

saw this on  ebay..

I woudn't reccommend, if your coming into this job at least buy new or 2nd hand from main dealer, at least you got some warranty, and some tax relief/depreciation against your income tax if you finance

if your going for the VW on ebay, you are taking a gamble, someone elses sh*t whose getting rid

the main thoughts are if you are going for the VW on Ebay, has the timing belt been fitted correctly, and electronicly tensioned, it is a known fault that if the water pump if faulty the belt can throw and shred causing major engine failure
Be careful out there

i know Rob at Taxi Shop and he definitely is extremely competitive on his pricing.

i believe his biggest sellers are Ford Galaxy and Ford Tourneo [mini bus]

go to my web site on bottom right you will find a web link to his website
just click on his banner advert and it will take you direct to Taxi Shop website or give him a ring his numbers in Press Cuttings Monthly and on his website
