In un-restricted areas there is no good reason why taxi and PH lads shouldn't work together on everything, but it's the operators that get in the way. :?

In restricted areas, apart from quotas they should be able to work together, but the quota issue is a big apart.

But one day it will happen, we all might be dead when it does, but it will happen.

Capt new youd buy the Fox hunting bit!

The Torys opted out of the WTR what a suprise. You say the public are a shallow bunch, no their not they are bloody stupid, short memories, self interest, greed, the only criterion for most.Normally the biggest moaners DONT VOTE, many of course Thatchers uneducated children. The damage that bitch inflicted on this nation will haunt us for generations,Dont forget New Labour her invention!

You dont want politics involved in the industry, unfortunately or not they are, and because we ignore them they ride rougheshod over it!

Jasbar cant figure you at all, it seems you want a war with everyone!

John i always found the most difficult task is to get workers to take action, and that was definitely the case in the 70s and 80s. the miners dispute and the printers dispute could and should have been one, they showed a lack of solidarity[the miners] and the printers left it too late.

You say the unions are seen as toothless, the RMT down here have laid that to rest, bob Crowe does the business[tube drivers £43000 pa for 37.5 hr week] The GMB nationally under new vigorous leadership,GMB London region has new reg Sec who also dosnt take prisoners. My branch [and if you ignore the provacation] dosnt mess about, many of my members are self employed, so no ballot nonsense for us instant action always a possibility.I think you John could be quite influential in your area through GMB, why not consider it?

I find the differing opinions on the likelyhood of Hack and Phv working together fascinating, i think i ll beleive it when i see it, but will always advocate it!

GA we aint forming a new Party were taking back OURS
You say the trades problems can be solved by dialogue with Licenscing Depts. Sounds good but ignores the reality, they are work under Legislation created by politicians, and locally follow the policies of politicians. Delim or not this decision will be taken by politicians, as will every other policy decision, the results of ignoring this reality are there for all to SUFFER NOW.

Sussex i hope your right , except for the time scale, but then if ALL our members get stuck in you never know.
Decisions are taken by those that turn up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Capt your JOCK bit fact if the whole of the UK had had the opportunity to vote as to whether to hand back the occupied 6 counties, they would have been.Democracy i believe, so if were looking to split the remaining parts of the UK I believe the whole Nation must decide that. To follow your scenario we in civilisation could declare UDI and leave all you carrot crunching eejits to wallow in your own muck.80% of the nations wealth is created here London, without having to support you idiots my standard of living would quadruple. You fancy that???????????????????????????

Wolfie, the reality is that this government is completely spineless. The reality is that this government have stated that Local Councils are best placed to decide local issues and then offered confusing advice on forming policies. The reality is that councils make their decisions based on what the Licensing department advise. The reality is that the Licensing department advise local legislation which is in the best interest of the local people NOT whats in the best interest of the HC or PH industry.

The reality is that we have to accept our responsibilities as a service provider, then work with our local councils to effect changes which are positive for all sides. This then puts us in the position to negotiate changes which more benefit us.

Wolfie the reality is that in order to effect any changes we need to work with our local authorities.

Having seen the results first hand here I know its been the best way forward, its also worthy of note that the anti council brigade are still trying to make changes.

COMMUNICATE ............. NEGOTIATE .............. SUCCESS

B. Lucky

Of course things would have been very different if the bonnie Prince hadn't have turned round at Derby.

I am surprised you don't accept that independence is a Scots decisions if they want it, its a little like occupying your neighbours front garden then demanding a vote on whether or not you should keep it

Didn't your mob allow the Scots to vote on their own Parliament?, I cant recall being allowed to vote on that one.

Why should a Scots MP have any vote in Westminster on any issue that may merely effect England?

To be honest, if London was wanting to become independent, then you can all willingly go your own way, believe me, you lot wont be missed. London seems a little like Paris....vastly different from the rest of France.

I'd rather be here with my sheep, than down there where its dirty, smelly and full of decay.

I'm merely stating Scots independence is a Scots decision nd anything I can do to encourage it should be applauded.....no more Skull....makes sense

I refuse to discss tactics on an internet forum, but havebeen quite active in encouraging stakeholders to get together, along with others.
