Well, Sherlock, I am not excluded from any Taxi rank, so I cannot answer that question.

Are you asking hypothetically?

Did you go to the NCC?

Jimbo, are you suffering from a hangover? I did say "IF" you were? I think that denotes a hypothetical question don't you?

Mr T, Mr Gateshead Angel and Mr Nigel have all come to the conclusion that its ok to be excluded. I was wondering if you pizzed in the same pot as them, or perhpas you had a more independent view??

I think most people would kick up a stink, to say the least? lol However, it would seem some people are very easily brainwashed.

JD

Oh, I see. Sorry.

I'm afraid you are asking the wrong person.

Why not ask one of the 70% of drivers who ARE excluded from the main rank in Lincoln?

I don't really think any driver is excluded from this rank, it's the vehicles surely, and every driver obviously has the choice of which vehicle he drives, so therefore the choice is the drivers.

Well, the council can't put conditions on drivers by way of section 47 of the LGMPA and we all know that and so does Mr Casey but the condition is on the vehicle owners license so if the owner happens to drive his own saloon hackney carriage he is excluded, however, as I conveniently pointed out to the local council the condition is unlawful and they do not have the power to make such a condition under section 47.

If you don't want to answer my simple question then that's entirely up to you but it makes you look a complete idiot by trying to justify the actions of Carlisle council in excluding 60% of hackney carriage vehicles from plying for hire on the main public Taxi rank.

I hope everyone has taken note of your stance on this situation.

JD

I suspect that report they mention in that article is from the OFT report.

You can of course, suspect all you like.

But if you really want to know the source, it was the Halcrow report.

Well the article does state it was "Halcow", Jimbo, so it wasn't hard to figure out and considering they had already informed us? Halcrow did the survey for OFT report so I assumed the article referred to that report?

That's simple enough.

Tell me Jimbo, if you were excluded from your main Taxi rank what would you do?

Regards

JD

If I was excluded from a taxi rank?

Well obviously I'd get a top notch lawyer on the case, someone who would ride into town on his high horse and take on the local council.

Do you know of anyone who fits the bill JD?

Did you contact the NCC, or did they come to you? (in the first instance)

You have already asked and answered that question Jimbo. I don't think we need to pursue it, do you?

Well, as you ask, yes, I do think I should pursue it.

BTW, the big news story of last friday seems to have dissapeared off the radar pretty quickly?

Dissapeared from where? TDO? That can soon be revived.
