We are an outdoor media auditing company called Media Monitoring Group and have been in business for about 5 years now.

What we basically do is check advertising on billboards to make sure that the correct advertiser has been posted and if it has been posted correctly that it is not damaged, ripped, graffitied etc... We have a network of around 150 active poster inspectors across the UK of which, around 75% are taxi drivers.

All inspectors need is a digital camera (to photograph the advertising on the billboards - must be digital photos as they will have to be uploaded from a computer to our website), a computer with internet access (preffabaly broadband to keep the uploading quick) and knowledge of your local area as well as transport.

An example of how the process works would be:

1) You login to your own secure area of our website and print off the addresses and site numbers of the poster sites you have to visit.
2) Visit all of the sites on your list photographing where necessary.
3) Come home and login again and upload the results and photographs.
4) Job Done!

One important thing to mention is that you are required to inspect on certain dates and it is very important that you inspect the poster sites on the requested dates. Generally you get a 2 or 3 day window per advertising campaign.

The whole point to this work is that it is meant to supplement the income from your main job - it wont make you a millionaire but can significantly boost the amount of money each month depending on where you are situated. We pay £2.15 per panel if it has to be photographed and £1.50 per panel if it does not require photograph. The amount you can earn is obviously dependant on where you are located. It tends to vary from between £100 - £1000 per month.

If you think anybody might be interested in this we would be very grateful if you could point us in the right direction. Our website (which is currently going through a re-design and re-write is www.mediamon.co.uk where more information is available and also an online application form.

Thank you for your time

Andrew

Yes I have,

The figures quoted of £100 -£1000 per month are grossly exagerated in my opinion, the first month I earned about £70 and the second month which is nearly over I have earned about £15 so unless you live in a big city with lots and lots of poster sites then it is not as good as it sounds.

Unless things improve for me soon then I will not bother at all as the rewards do not really cover my time and expenses.

I would have thought its more a big city proposition.
