you always make the comparison with London, but please tell me one area outside of London that takes three to four-years to pass the knowledge test.. just one will do..

Please tell me one area where a driver has to earn £80k to make the job worthwhile?

Except for London, that is :D

And there speaks the experience hackney carriage driver/ owner , sorry Sussex I forgot you are just a private hire driver that wants a hackney Licence, stick to being a private hire driver, because you will never make a professional Hackney driver. Mark my words

As I said old man utter tosh.

I have a rule, never take advice from somebody who knows everything but has nothing.

Well I always assumed you had a pretty low opinion of your drivers.

So by your standards your drivers "have nothing", so what's your opinion of them otherwise?

And that explains it then does it not, 80 quid, plus your houseing benefit, and of course the dole, it's all you need.

So in all the 246 councils (thanks JD) that don't restrict the cab trade are all potless, and because the job becomes worthless, and only idiots that are prepared to work for nothing, and do extremely long hours stay in the job.

And of course every PH driver in the country is potless if Trev's analysis is to be believed

I wouldn't dream of ever asking you for advice about anything.

I was just pointing out your stupidity.

The one thing everybody moans about is the excessively long hours you have to work to make a living, so I suppose that is a figment of my imagination

From my supa dupa vast experience the only ones I hear moaning are the lazy buggers.

But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about, all I want to know is when you are leaving the NTA to join your brothers Mick and Terry. Image

No Sussex, the clever ones, of the dopes that are left go bankrupt, you should really take a good look at how many vehicles are repossessed in the de- regulated areas, but then again this is always another dope to take his place.

I live in a deregulated area and the local lads are doing just fine.

Was a time when they didn't have meters or knowledge, but they realised that with a decent metered rate, and some sort of KOL they could earn better money.

And they did, and the quality of vehicles and drivers has improved hugely.

And well done to them. =D>

Not sure about leader, but I want a free plate for everyone that's licensed and wants one.
