Just imagine, Tommy Mac feeling that his responsibility is to his members,
Perhaps Tommy, if he really has a responsibility towards his members. Who are in a minority, would jump off the" crucify the taxi driver band wagon. "Do what JD did and question some of the crap the local paper is printing .
Perhaps the T& G , who negotiated this 5 page contract at the airport. Might have addressed some of the issues, rased by Sean. Instead of giving Peel Holdings, in my opinion , every thing they wanted and moore. Streetcars.

If my memory is right, In a Meeting that was held with members and non-members regarding the conditions that were acceptable to all parties, Tommy acting for the T&G and non members negotiate with peel Holdings, and it was made clear that in future Tommy's role would only be for his members, so if non-members wanted him to act on their behalf they should join, I believe they made the choice,

Peel Holdings are obviously out to make money, but they also want the Liverpool Taxi trade to give a professional appearance to the General Public,( and not some rag arss bunch of cowboys) seems reasonable to me, massive problem with terrorism.( how dear they implement procedures in the interest of safety),

Today Liverpool black cabs withdraw from the airport. A Mr S a driver of impeccable character, made the mistake of going into the main terminal, without his airport badge on.
One thing led to another and he ended up being suspended for 28 days . The rest of the boys on the Rank moved off to a side road .

The T&G have been called into mediate the outcome of which, perhaps our resident reporter might discover.
regards streetcars

But if the story in the Echo is correct then he refused to wear it when asked, thus he was effectively warned.

Just like each council :)
