Has free bus travel for pensioners started in England yet, If it hasn't wait until it does your takings will drop dramatically.
That's whats happened in Scotland, the bingo halls used to be OK for about 5 or 6 runs in succession but now they all pile over to the bus station for free buss es, the same goes for the legion and any other event that is going on.

It has and TBH I haven't really noticed it.

Down here if people want a taxi/PH then they are going to get one. If they want a bus, then so be it.

They changed the Bus Token System here to stop people using them for Taxis. Hit WAV using passengers most cause they find buses difficult to use. I think the bus company realised how much the Taxi trade were taking of "their money" tokens and pressured the Council to change to bus passes instead. Miserable gits. The Councils are now moaning about how much the bus pass scheme is costing, way more than the old tokens. The decision was taken without any reference to the taxi trade, I doubt we would have been able to change anything but it would have been nice to know it was being considered.

Yes it has but fortunately most bus companies can't afford to honour it down this way, it is very restrictive on the boundries.

Some district councils do a county wide free service whereas some only do within their city limit.
