Can I invite you to speculate what I am worried about exactly?

you and yer mates cushy round a table? dont think so, you would be better employed working your taxis one day you will realise that all time spent in this way is a useless deployment of time.

and in the end what will be will be.

Hmmm, must have struck a raw nerve, no mates huh? awww you poor man.

Of course a better deployment of time could be sitting on our backsides and allowing the powers that be to [edited by admin] all over us, or leaving somebody else do it, but that seems to be your attitude.

no not at all,
I usially find here Captain that if something blows the committee oposes, opposes and loses the lot.

its people like me that has cred that comes to save the day by injecting realism.

want an example?
recently our council decided on tests for drivers, the hot heads opposed opposed berating the council, who was it that got grandfather rights and exclusions to save the day?

wasnt old fruit the dicks who sit all night talking crap in committees.

I read on here about our trusty reps and the things they ask for, many that statute wont give!

one just has to look at Gateshead to see how disaster can strike anytime.

Guest,

Like you our association persuaded our local authority to have grandfather rights extended to the existing trade with regards to the DSA tests.

Indeed it was the local association that pre-empted to move and asked for the tests locally.

I know what you mean, but please dont tar everyone with the same brush.

Regards

Captain Cab

I agree, Mick leaving the trade is a blow to the H/C trade in Gateshead, but they will certainly get along, even without his dedication and effort.

You see SM we like what we do, we want to keep doing it. The problem lies in little people like you who couldn't give a stuff how many people you bankrupt as long as you get what you want.

Your arguments are so localised its untrue.

£50k for a plate - not up here
Loads of jockies - not up here
Un-met demand - not up here
leech plateholders - not up here
High fares - not up here
jockies wanting their own plates - not up here (cause they don't want to have to buy a car)

B. Lucky

How things change? Jockies not wanting their own plates he says? Yet we have 215 new Jockies who somewhat contradict Mr Angels statement. Did you really say all that Mick? And what is the situation today? Plenty of work? saloon plate values at ten grand? Leach plate holders? and still no unmet demand and low fares. Must be good for the public no unmet demand. Isn't that what the Government wants "no unmet demand"?

Best wishes

JD

So you change from the NTA to the T&G. :?

And exactly what have you got for that?

A fare rise formula.
Access to all the bus lanes.
Re-restriction of numbers.
More advanced driver locality tests.
New ranks.
Safe vehicles.
Improved consultation.

Basically SM, everything you appear not to have in Eastbourne.

B. Lucky

Do I see re restriction of numbers in that little lot? Is that statement actually true mick?
