I know that is going on. and has been suggested here. Despite little old ladies under 5' with arthritis saying they don't like the big cabs. Also arguements against the E7 even though disabled liked them because of the space. and arguements against sliding doors. Better in high winds on Hastings sea front. Hence owners changing vehicles to argue the case. Just watching what happens. Why cab't councils listen to intelligecne from those who know instead it gets in entrenched positions and arguements get lost in point scoring and tactics?

Didn't you feel safer in a Taxi with a seperate drivers compartment? I know I do.

I think the answer to the problem of mixed ranks is get the rules changed, and enforced, so that any person requiring a cab from any rank must take the first one without question, they are all the same price in there own area's ffs
The only exception would be if a saloon was first and the person required a wav for a wheelchair they could just go strait to it

There should be no problem with mixed ranks where there is a 100% WAV rule.

Its good to have rank respect and ettiquette, But I have no problem with walking past. Depends why. I have had males walk all the way past the men and say they'd like a female taxi driver (wink wink) so I get them to walk back and get in another one or dodgey ones who think a female driver will be easier. They find they were wrong. Money up front or I'm not moving. I know those taxi drivers who support female and child abuse , and who I have had some rough conversations and behaviour with, so I will walk right past and get into one who doesn't.

But have sat there like a lemon in the E7 as one after another walk past because of misunderstandings that I am more expensive or I am only waiting for groups or wheelchairs. Can't get cross until the misunderstandings and reasons are changed.
Have tried to be more alluring, but that just puts them off and frightens them off even more. Lasoos and sheepdogs next week.

Regular was a streaker/exposer. Caught me out first time. load of rubbish about winning a bet with his mates. Tried several times and always walked past the others and got into my cab. Til I reminded him I knew him. and i am not beyond thumping same as a male driver. He's alright, harmless. Talks to me in the street. i just feel the extra pleading eyes on me when he is with the wife.

Can't make people get into cabs they don't want. Also gets silly. Got mine in and the cab in front his fare changed their mind so he comes round and insists my passenger get out buggies and luggage and all and get back into his. I fought for the supidity of that. But he didn't speak to me for weeks.

Another two cabbies fought over who's cab the fare should get in. Very public very heated. Quite rightly the passenger said they wouldn't get in any and went in another cab.

Maybe again a simple notice on the rank shelter unless for valid reasons.

Also many prefer drivers that they know so will head for them if they are on rank.

Separate parts for driver/passenger.

Certainly. Have been spoilt. Started in TX and the E7. So I was Queen and my rule was law. Can stick up for myself better when less chance of being thumped. Have made my mistakes and thought the quiet one of a bunch should eb the one at the side of me. he is last out and 20 minutes later I'm still doing the gentle persuading and understanding in a quiet lonely street somewhere in Hastings. I do say if they talk and chat me up anymore I'll put the meter back on on Christmas day rate. And filthy talk is extra.

Changed cabs and I was ina firm instead of on my own, but had a druggie 9.30am. He was going in and out of his head and went into a catatonic mood at the end. I really didn't know if he was going to go for me when he came too. Suddenly his hand whipped over and I screamed and jumped and hit my head on the roof. but there was only a fiver in it. He said I was uptight and needed to take more drugs.

Prefer to be separate then if problems you are so much safer or can handle it without doubling up yourself trying to empathise and talk them down. I think we are great, but we shouldn't be expexted to be counsellors and be able to meet every body's ego need. or chance being thumped if we don't. Taxi drivers are taxi drivers not psychologists or Aunt Sallys in a mobile box.

Jimbo, you seem to be forgetting that the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is that there's only one :D

The wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is Tiggers are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!
But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers
Is I'm the only one

It's unbelievable Jimbo, 'Its' back again. It does make one wonder what kind of pleasure the freak gets pretending to be a female. Oh sorry, Blonde and female.

FFS.

Que the alter ego Skippy 357.
