Hi Kermit, I got my Chauffeur mag this week , they really pushing the nlca, but dont mention your euroupe limo association, have you disbanded.
The NLCA commitee look a rum lot.( would you buy a second hand car of any of them) I think not..
Its nice to see VOSA taking a look and I DO HOPE IT makes them stamp out on this self drive hire scam..if they dont I wounder how many brown envelopes got passed around at that meeting..
It is very funny that VOSA just let the ones who dont even try to do it right to get away every time. and its not funny ha ha.

So "No Tips" - I understand you have been causing a bit of a stir on here; with your apparent insider information!

Well; lets clear a few things up maybe?!

You claim your daughter goes out with "a top" man at DCL; since I know DCL and the staff there very well - I doubt this is true? and the information you have been giving out it is only the same as what is being banded around the (limo)indusrty. So as you claim if your Daughter does go out with a "top man" - how about giving some information which is soley DCL related? unless of corse you are trying to blag your way out of it?

Now moving on to your post yesterday and from reading your previous post; it appears that you are not a fan of limo operates going for the self drive insurance or as you call it the "self drive hire scam".

Well if as you keep liking to point out ways you think the self drive way will not work; have you got another route you suggest people take? Instead of criticising; how about offering what you feel would be a suitable solution? - As lets be fair; there are too many limousines here now for this problem just to be pushed away.

I can honestly say I have not been moving behind the scenes, I have not done anything only I do have my finger on the pulse. but not in the way you may think.

Its very simple really.. my daughter goes out with a top man in DCL, so I get the inside track[i]...........

if you read the early posts on another topic I mention Croydon where I live...& where are DCL ...Carshalton Croydon..
You mistake me for another I think.....
not so clever are you....& all so simple

Indeed the chauffeur mag only really mentions the NLCA, this is fact and i have posted in relation to this on our limo forum which no doubt you have seen so i refer you to that for my answer on this subject, i would like to know why you still insist on directing these questions at me though as i repeat once again im not an op anymore just a mere driver, Therefore i couldn't give a nats ar_se what VOSA are up to, i know the vehicles i drive are legal and i was indeed pulled just saturday night and was on my way again in about 4 minutes after a quick headcount and a couple of questions to the customers!! As for brown envelopes again i couldn't care a less so could you please now stop aiming these very silly questions and remarks at me, Im simply not interested anymore, And as for the ELA im not interested in that neither !!! Kind regards

I agree the info I have stated is common Knowlege but if you check the posts dates you will see I posted before they were common knowledge.

I do have a route you all can take. Get a COIF on your waggons or only carry 8.or ship them back to the good old USA.
All you spivs knew they were not going to pass UK regs when you paid big bucks for them.
You are all doing our Industry harm. the taxi, the PH, the mini bus , 8 seat Limos , 16 seat coaches. everyone abides by the rules either their Local council or VOSA but you lot just go and abuse all hire & reward regs.
As for too many Limos here for the problem not to go away. No most Limousines are now legal and licensed by there councils its you over 8 lot that arnt,& are trying to be put in with the legal under 8 lot to push your case . sorry you have been sussed out by them. They have sorted them selfs out and are legal. Dont keep pushing your unlawfull waggons claiming all limos are the same .YOU are on your own, the hire & reward trade dont support or want you , including the 8 limo lot.
Why should any thing be sorted for you. In business you should buy vehiles that abide by the rules of the country you are in.Thats called common sence. Shame you lot havent got any..But dont expect the rules to be changed just for you.so you can make money.

I just think ill open a betting office & run that as a self bet system than I don’t need a license? Just like a big 4 x 4 with 16 seats GAMBLE. do you think i will get away with this new system of betting.

Well;

Thanks for your help? :?

So you recommend that WE all go for a COIF? - Surely there are some problems with this too? :? - So where does that leave us?

From what I understand - there as been some very interesting meetings lately with VOSA and others, in regards to this topic. It looks like (to your annoyance) things may be happening; and in favour of us larger limos!

Im still not sure; I still think you are trying to bluff your way on the DCL info. How about giving some info about DCL; that is unrelated to this matter. 8)

If it's simple or about to be simple to operate a U-drive 4X4 limo, Why is everyone up in arms about them?
Another point, if they do get licensed in one shape or another carrying 16 people, will ALL 16 seater coach companys head straight to VOSA and demand they can operate to the U-drive scheme?
Whats good for one surely mustbe good for another. PH and Hack boys are up in arms with the influx of driver operators that can't speak English as it is. If this scheme gets a green light, then they will be coming out the wood work.
Its bad enough as it is getting to understand drunk punters accents so you can get them home. If yuh man at the wheel cant't speak english!! bugger, could be a long night.
Sorry for all the questions but, American 4X4 limo's or any limo's for that matter, do they need any sort of conversion? especially 16 seaters. I know the limo's i have seen dont have emerg exits and the like. A guy that works for me hired one for his stag nght and couldnt get out when the limo stopped, he had to wait til the driver opened the door for him. If it was a genuine emergency surely hit would hit the fan. Especially in the event of a fire.

Uncle Buck

I would totally agree with you but money to some ops is worth more than 8/ 16 life's im sorry to say
But what can you do if know one gives a dame in government do you have to wait for a fatality.
With hummers losing front wheels most 4 x 4 over the weight limits for the town centers but do to the police/vosa

We could go on all day over the problems with big limousines.(over 8 seaters I mean yes towncars c300 4 x 4 all limousines in General that for greed carry over 8 people)

sorry to all that carry 8 or 14 in a coifed limousine as i now you have spent lots of money to get this COIFed or SVAed
