Thanks. it is a bit hard, have taken a lot of flack and genuine nasty abuse for raising this subject. Surprising when I said to some taxi drivers i was raising the need for safety in taxis fro both driver and passenger i have been intimidated adn assaulted. Felt I was takign away their basic civil rights. other are very positive about it. So any personal support (Yea. I am a weak and fragile feeble woman Squeak!!) really boosts me.

Once its up will attach a page for a poster you can print and stick in your cabs or maybe petition. Must tie in "Positively" with local councillors, licencing office and police and public interested bodies (So no hissing people off. Think Politics and Soundbites and Diplomacy with those who should be a support and an asset.)

We all get hissed off with each other. an to be honest taxi drivers are not on many people's Christmas list. the arguements stop at our driving, parking, u-turning in front of them. have to think how to get off these minor irritations and get eceryone behind everyone's safety.

OK Cabbies. You will have to become your own SPIN DOCTORS.

The forum is open for ideas for what to say or do or how to handle problems and opposite arguements. Also you had better be pro-active in supporting women and female cabbies or no point. Pot. Kettle. Black.

Junie

I dont know about being pro-active and supporting female cabbies, what is the difference Junie,IMHO I would think males are just as open to abuse by passengers as females, probably more so,it's the usual female thing of course Junie, these things only start to matter when it affects females.

Next thing passengers will be required to wait and pay the metered fare while the female cabbies breast feed their children at the side of the road, like this American Firefighter:
