"Taxi Wars" coming to a playstation near you

Johannesburg - A website has zeroed in on the road rage of South Africans by developing an online game that allows them to beat up the usual targets of their ire - minibus taxi drivers - and smash their vehicle to smithereens.

Players of Taxi Wars can choose from among five weapons - a fist, a paint can, a golf club, a screwdriver and the hard plastic "vuvuzela" used to trumpet support at football matches.

Armed with these, they can get even with the devil-may-care drivers of the ubiquitous 16-seater minibuses.

Players can hammer the driver until he's KOd, smash his windows, burst his tyres and then sign their name to their handiwork with a touch of spray paint.

You can find it and play it on-line too. Good to know we are legitimate targets.

I got into one of these mini bus taxis in Cape Town as I closed the door the driver told me to hold on to a piece of flex, when I asked him why he told me it was holding the door closed!

While I was there a Mini Bus taxi was pulled ove by the police and they found a mole wrench was being used as the STEERING WHEEL and the driver had driven from Jo'berg to Cape Town.

These aren't what you think a mini bus taxi is ie a nicely maintained, licenced, insured and in most part well driven. These are wrecks that aren't steered they are AIMED!

I'm sure this website is mainly for SA's that are just a little sick of these heaps of trash on the roads.

Have a read of this you'll have to scroll down the blog a bit to find the section on Mini Busses but it's a true reflection of what it's like

Have you never seen "Grand Theft Auto"? A pc game where everyone is a "legitimate target"

Yea. Seen it being played round a house of a guy who fixed my bike. I really do believe people are affected by what they see and the ideas. Ran a youth group for 'orible yoofs 80s. Indiana Jones came out and they were all rescuing each other from the evil clutches. Rambo came out, they came in and were really aggressive and violent and started beating up the younger kids.

There are "games" out there about beating up and settign light to tramps and picking up "hos" and doing everything to them then beating them up and leaving them in an alley.

One mum went to a mates party. The kids went off to play video games when she weny to check it was one about beating up tramps. When she objected the 5 year old said. Its alright. He's nothing. Just a filthy bum. It don't matter.

What happend to Bill and Ben and the Herb Garden. Bring back the Majic Roundabout is what I say. and Poggleswood and the Clangers.
BagPus for President. OK I'll put the crack pipe down now and walk away.
