I think the worst bit is if an operator turns a blind eye.

He knew what he was doing so he got punished.

But where does that fine line of a taxidriver being involved end.

We only pick up who we get sent for by the office.

i.e "i am just going to pick something up off my mate , do not worry i,ll pay the waiting time" :x

In the meantime we might have to end up argueing our case in front of a court of law :x

The simple answer is to protect your own rear end - if you think you have been on a drug run etc then contact the Police / Crimestoppers and report it. Also get the address Black Listed by your own office and ask all local offices to do the same giving your reason - suspect drug traffiking. Yes these people will then look to other means of transport but its not put another cabbie or yourself at the same risk. If they they are in your car and you are sure thats what is happening call a Tango / 13 / 99 and ask for Police assistance. Most of us are on GPS systems so simply hit the Panic button and don't talk to the Op and the Police will do the rest. Have to admit local Black Rats are really good at taking you out so it looks like you had nothing to do with it - rear light out etc!

Sooner or later some stuck up Judge or Magistrate is going to send a Cabbie to jail for taking a Pax where they ask due to drugs! Don't let it be you!
