Someone mentioned the Manchester Bulletin magazine and the fact that it had been resurrected after a spell in hibernation. One of the news items concerned the retirement of George Simms, the current secretary of the TODA. For those who don't know George I would just like to say that he's a real gem of a character and I'm sure he will be sadly missed.
As far as I'm concerned he always had a smile on his face and was always philosophical about current events. On behalf of TDO I would like to wish George all the best in his retirement.
