Hear ye, Hear ye!

An advert placed in the Dundee press this week stated:

All 203020 vehicles are fully comprehensively insured with full public liability insurance.

[-X The private hires since Friday have been sitting in wasteground less than 5 yards from a taxi rank outside a nightclub in Dundee & their boss has been blatantly handing out £1 off vouchers.Every taxi operator in Dundee has been urged to appear at the Cab inspectors office at 11:00 tomorrow morning!!!!!!!

Well if the press were covering the story beforehand then they should be interested in this.

But can't the bloke handing out the leaflets perhaps be seen as touting on behalf of the cars?

Is touting illegal in Scotland?

Strike action looking very possible !!!!!!!

Don't strike, not because your cause isn't just, but because that firm will take your work whilst you are on strike.

After losing there yellow plates and now back to private hire, the drivers were told at there meeting in the marquee that the fees for the hire of the cars were to stay the same. I have a friend that works for them he has to pay £325 a week for the hire of one of there cars, now that they are back to private hire he still has to pay £325 a week. He just told me drivers are starting to walk, is mr young crazy or just greedy or in deep trouble? Going from public hire to private hire the drivers are at least losing 30% of there work as they can't pick of the streets, i myself think with all thats going on at 203020, with the plates and all the bad press, the new 80 scodas to pay for, 203020 as a company are going down fast.

Are the driver mad or daft,£325 a week   FFs they can get a brand new Skoda with fully comp insurance for £50 a week, why dont they apply for plates in there own name, as the council is wrong to demand that all new applications are wav's, due to the European disability forum stating that there must be saloons licenced as hacks as well to give the majority of the disabled access and not the minority.
All they would need is a back room somewhere with a phone and radio as well as working from the ranks

Take pictures with your phones. A picture is worth a thousand words. Send them to the LO and the press, reminding them that this is illegal and rubbishes their claims of being fully insured.
