Thanks for the advice. My insurers are saying that although the birth is registered at the Public Records Office with her name it only has the claimant's Surname so isn't 100% proof,they say without seeing the child's Birth Certificate, it's too risky for them and the fact that he has a car registered to her address means nothing, that they could have met at the scene of the accident (that never happened). YCNMIU. There's so many holes in their story it's a joke.

You'd think that if there was strong evidence pointing towards fraud then they'd look into it further.

Hopefully the police will be more interested. :roll:

About 15 years ago a similar inccident happened to a colleague of mine. His insurance company paid out even though he wasn't in the wrong. In fact they didn't even tell him. :shock:

Luckily he wife was a Detective Inspector so knew what to do, but in the end he got his no-claims bonus back.
